Is it me??!!!

Just got back in to find a message from the fertility clinic asking to make my mid-morning appointment at 9am instead tomorrow.

DH and I had arranged to go on the train which would arrive perfectly in time for the original appointment time and then we'd have a day out as the clinic is a good 1 1/2 hours away.

If I have an appointment now at 9am I will have to drive and get up at about 6.30 to walk the dog and get organised before leaving at around 7.20...........

WHY?????!!!!!!!!!
I am SO annoyed!!!!
I must be jinxed (even thought I don't believe in jinxing!!!!!!)

Any way you can call them and say no, actually, it's not convenient for you to go at 9am due to other commitments and you'd prefer it if they left it the original time?

You must be VERY FRUSTRATED!!! Only problem is if you say you cannot make new appointment time they may put you back to another day.

They said I had to be there 10am at the latest.

I told them the train didn't come in til 10.10 so I am not happy to chance my plans.

She said....come sometime b't'n 9.30 and 10 then...Is that ok??

Problem is the lady on the phone was nice!

It has to be tomorrow because of the cycle day.....otherwise I would rearrange at their inconvenience I think!!!

Coggy - The whole of the NHS admin system is a farse. Totally understand your annoyance.

Barts and the Royal are just as disorganised too. When I turned up for my original 3pm appt they told me it had been cancelled and re-arranged - but no-one had bothered to tell me

After kicking up a fuss I got seen, but had to wait till after 5pm before I saw the consultant.

It's rubbish, but it's the way it is.

Hope it all goes well despite the hassle.

I did the next best thing.....had a cup of tea and watched neighbours!!!!!!

My appointment with the consultant was cancelled without anyone telling me as well Angsthase.
I now have another one at the end of Sept (a year after the first one that was cancelled!!!! )

I may phone early morning to check it's still on!!!!

What a nightmare Coggy. It amazes me that they get away with it. They make and break appointments all the time and people end up taking more and more time off and then end up more stressed out. Really feel for you.

At least it's in my holidays from work.
You'd think a fertility unit would be a bit more sensitive towards us ladies wouldn't you??!!!

Hospitals etc are always the same.My brother is still waiting for his appointment to see his consultant its now been 2.5 yrs its a joke!

I am going Trace...it's for a mid-cycle scan and jab so I have to go tomorrow anyway.

I will point out again though that I have travelled a long way!!!!
