Hoping AF stays away

Don't feel you have to reply I am just venting!!! CD22 of 28 day cycle and having cramps on and off since CD19. First month we have given ourselves a fighting chance (DH works offshore) - hoping AF stays away and praying this could be Implantation - anything anyone can say to encourage me not to give up is obviously welcome! SmileThanks

Arjords- I was convinced AF was coming but it didn't and got bfp!! The feeling of AF coming is so life early preg it seems

Ajords1 · 19/03/2014 21:28

Thanks sleepyhoglet! How long after AF was due did you get your bfp? Congrats btw! Exciting GrinGrin!

I always thought you test the day AF due and if you were pg you'd get BFP so starting to think I'm out! Last two nights I've had to go to be early coz I've been too uncomfy on sofa with back cramps and on/ off sensation (not really pain) in lower abdomen.

Trying to stay realistic and half expecting AF tomorrow....Hmm

I'm out. af arrived this morning! At least I know. Roll on cycle 2!
Good luck y'all. Smile

x

Sleepyhoglet · 20/03/2014 07:53

I tested in the evening when I was 3 days late. A good clear line! Just wait a bit longer.

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 08:24

Sorry to hear that toothache returns but on to the next cycle and good luck!!

No AF yet here, still dull backache and a fair bit of CM - don't know if that is a pre AF sign or if it could be a sign of anything else....will keep you posted one way or another!

Lots of nervous toilet trip for the next few days I reckon!!

Sleepyhoglet · 20/03/2014 13:51

Tmi but also had horrible gas!!

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 14:37

haha - not tmi - all ladies sharing together.

Still nothing so far today. I am taking pregnacare conception and i dont know if that may be contributing to the delayed AF - anyone have any experience of that?

Whilst there is still no AF there is still hope!! x

Ajords are you using first response tests? I poas at 10 dpo with normal Sainsbury's tests and was neg. Got a positive on a FR at 11dpo and 12dpo but nothing in normal tests until 14dpo.

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 15:09

Hello somedizzywhore1804, yes i have been testing with FR tests - part of the reason i am feeling less hopeful as i have been led to believe they are the most sensitive......

Will just test every few days until AF, BFP or bankrupcy - whichever arrives first haha!!

I'd say that in my experience then you are probably not pg as we were ttc for 7 months and I was a poas addict- the only month I didn't have a ton of negative tests was the month I was pregnant IYSWIM Grin

All is not lost though- like I say we battled on for 7 months. I know by a lot of people's standards that's nothing and I feel very lucky indeed to have even gotten pregnant, but it can send you over the edge.

My top tips (or at least what worked for me the month I got pregnant) were Chinese medicine- I went to a registered Chinese doctor and had acupuncture and drank and concoction of Chinese herbs that tasted of horror three times a day- and dtd every day- twice if we could manage it.

I didn't use OPKs as they didn't seem to work for me (got a smiley face once in 7 months!) and glad I didn't as I actually conceived 5 days after I thought I was ovulating anyway.

Best of luck!

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 16:34

Thanks somedizzywhore1804 for the advice! MAybe give some of that a go if this month presents nothing positive.

I am not using OPKs but may start temping and charting next month to see what that achieves.

Still keeping everything crossed until AF finds me! you never know!

I'm the same here. AF due today and since I came off the pill last October I've been using the my days app to track everything. My cycle is averaging 26 days, and according to that I'm 14 DPO. I'm completely knackered this week and keep getting occasional cramps so every time I go to the loo I'm praying it's AF doesn't show up! This month is the first time we were probably on the right days for it.

AF has been bang on due date since I came off the pill, lucky me lol hoped I'd get a brief break. Don't have the sore boobs I normally get, but do have a banging headache today and feel completely exhausted. Am going to test at the weekend if I've not had any luck. Need to stop symptom guessing however. This is the one month I'm going to be heartbroken if I'm not. Thinking happy thoughts in the meantime!

somedizzywhore1804 · 20/03/2014 17:21

Keeping everything crossed for you Smile

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 17:38

Hi fruityb I'm the same as you as this is prob the first month we've even been close to getting it right (hubby works offshore)

Ordered some cheap pg tests - not arrived yet so may be sat before I text again if AF doesn't appear!!

I know what you mean about symptom spotting and what's most frustrating is pms symptoms being the same as pg symptoms!!!

Fruityb · 20/03/2014 18:00

I'm trying not to think about it but that means it's actually all I'm thinking about right now! Today I feel so tired, my temperature is high, I keep thinking "are my boobs veiny or am I just looking for them?"

Argh!

Let's keep our fingers crossed. This month has been the longest of all since we've been trying, I don't know what it is about it but I've been willing this last two weeks to pass faster than any before.

Ajords1 · 20/03/2014 18:49

I know I've said this before but I think AF is gearing up to show her ugly face!!!Hmm Grrrrrr!

OP posts:
Ajords1 · 21/03/2014 11:17

Nope no AF - if i get through this weekend whilst still dodging AF then i will test again! Hubby home tonight so would be nice if he was there should we get a BFP!

OP posts:
toothachereturns · 21/03/2014 16:58

My af is incredibly heavy. It was never like this before the coil. I'm actually worried as this is the 3rd day where I'm gushing (tmi sorry). Sad

Ajords1 · 21/03/2014 17:06

Oh toothache returns that sounds miserable.Sad Is it worth having a chat with your gp? Just having it logged and maybe getting advice....make sure you don't become anaemic through it!

Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend ahead!!!!

toothachereturns · 21/03/2014 18:40

Thanks ajords. Good luck for your BFP. Smile

Ajords1 · 21/03/2014 18:42

Another BFN today but no AF haha - sound like a broken record!

Fruityb · 21/03/2014 18:46

Well I went to the loo this morning, and there was blood. Cue tears.

But.

Nothing else at all, had a pad in all day and nothing. Nothing since going to the loo either, every time I go I'm expecting it but nope, no sign. Feeling uber sick this evening as well. No cramps, which I still had on the pill though not as strong.

Will see what develops. Feeling confused!

Ajords1 · 21/03/2014 19:06

Oh fruity, it's so horrible this limbo phase!!!! Why are out bodies determined to confuse us and stress us out!!!

OP posts:
Fruityb · 21/03/2014 19:23

I've got no idea. I've not tested as I'm waiting to see what goes on from here. The thing is the more I think about cramps the more I think I have them. Only the cramps are actually very painful if I do have them, so I know they're not here now!
I cried this morning, but since there's really been nothing since then I'm holding onto the thinnest hope I have this cycle! Im determined to get there before summer.

Ajords1 · 21/03/2014 19:26

We have to stay positive - it can't beat us!!! I just keep thinking about all these stories about 'it only takes one time' and 'better be careful of unwanted pregnancies!!!!'

I hope we are there looking at a bfp before the summer too!!! But hubby is just about to start working a month offshore and then a month at home so out 'chances' are going to be reduced!!!
