Title says it all really.

How did you feel in the first few weeks of your pregnancy, before you tested positive?

Nothing!!!!

Just felt like doing a test and, after 5 years of trying, stared in disbelief!!!

twocatsonthebarricades · 10/08/2006 16:06

Bust like two rocks, at least 5 days before period due, so have always known well before any test!

PifflinePankhurst · 10/08/2006 16:09

nothing
I had been ttc this baby for 3.5 yrs I over analysed pre af symptoms
I got more symptoms waiting for my peiod than I got last month when I got my bfp
shocked would be understating.
I did take my temps and chart though and my temps showed that I was very likely pregnant
now at 8 wks
I feel sick, tired, headaches, fluey, disgusting and lethergic
All part of the fun

I wasn't someone who guessed because of my symptoms, but looking back, I remember having the worst mood in the world. Very for no reason. Felt like I had lots of water retention and was very irrationally tearful. Thought period had come - had a tiny touch of spotting around right time and used tampon, only to find it AF free later on. Was weeing during the night (not bedwetting, I should say!!!) and it was 0530 when we found out, as I had got up to do a wee and thought I'd use the strong morning variety to use the clearblue digi as the boots own normal hpt's hadn't come up positive the night before.

12 weeks today

Prickly nipples

Period pain with two of my three pregnancies half way between conception and when my period was due

Bad, Bad period pain the day my period was due

Mum2FunkyDude · 10/08/2006 19:34

I remember implantation bleeding (very slight) made me suspicious as period was due and not really starting just a slight discharge, so I did the test and it was +

Myrtle1 · 11/08/2006 14:08

Really thirsty and more hungry than usual.
Sore boobs (bit tingly too)

littlemac · 12/08/2006 11:31

shazronnie - they say that cats have a phantom pregancy - did your pregancy have a phantom cat?!

shazronnie · 12/08/2006 12:46

no littlemac, but my kids love cats!

Tallie11 · 23/08/2006 16:54

After 3 years trying, I didn't have a clue I was pregnant....I'd given up charting, gave up expensive chinese medicine in Harley St.

On reflection I remember my kidneys aching, feeling thirsty, and enormous breasts. I even had the obligatory spots that appear just before AF. Then AF just didn't appear....
I dusted down some old tester hidden at the back of my dresser, thinking what the hell are you doing.... noone was more shocked than me to see a BFP.

xx

babycakes26 · 23/08/2006 17:39

For me it was the strangest metallic taste in my mouth - how weird - still got it! Also the need to pee pee every 10 minutes and weird heart racing...

endlesslove · 23/08/2006 17:46

Is there anyone out there who did NOT get any syptoms - I'm in 2ww and have nothing, no signs at all. I don't feel over tired, I'm not peeing any more than usual and I don't have any diferences in boobs. Do you think I should take it that I'm not pg.

NatalieJane · 23/08/2006 17:47

With my first, it was not being able to get ride at the fair, something just kept telling me not to go on, next day I tested positive, and I went off food completely.

This time, I didn't even feel pregnant a week after taking the test, but then got extremely tired and have stayed that way throughout most of it!

Booboobedoo · 23/08/2006 18:08

PMT from about CD19 (moody & tearful), then on CD 25....

..my aureoles spread upwards.

No more plunge bras for me. Boo.

endlesslove · 24/08/2006 14:15

Feeling fed up today, i'm 10 dpo and no early signs happening to me. No pain or size changes in (.)(.)s, not really moody (although feel unhappy today), no funny tastes in mouth, no dreams, no sicky feeling. Looks like bfn for me this month.

Sorry for rambling, just feeling bit fed up,

fredly · 24/08/2006 14:25

I didn't have any symptoms, at all, except tiredness during the 1st 3 months. I was never sick, ate like a horse, slept my 9 hours, was soooooooo happy. The best time of my life.

kittywits · 24/08/2006 14:27

I've had 13 pregnancies all in all and I would say that most of the time the symptoms of the sucessful pregnancies were almost identical to pms for me. However, I never had sore boobs or sickness.

andi0411 · 24/08/2006 15:33

Just thought I'd add to this as it's always a popular question: I have been pg three times (non beyond 10 weeks )and my early pg symptoms were that- along with normal pmt symptoms - i had sore boobs- -never normally do and was STARVING from 3 weeeks past last af. During each pg boob pain got worse and hunger stopped to be replaced by severe nausea- never actually sick.

SKYTVADICT · 24/08/2006 15:41

Just read the whole thread and seem to have a few already (BFP yeterday):-

Kidneys ache
Not hungry (but still eating lots as had bloody awful morning sickness from 9 weeks last time (ended in MC) and want to get ahead of the game!)
Weeing a lot
Headache
Moody & tearful

I'n not going to complain though as extremely happy to be pregnat and hoping it lasts

pennygaff · 24/08/2006 15:47

feeling dizzy when I stood up, and tired in the afternoon

Katerina75 · 24/08/2006 16:18

had pains exactly like period pains during one night - but period wasn't due for 3 days. I tested in the morning and it was positive. The cramps lasted a week, and then I had a week with no symptoms at all... then it was onto 6 weeks of horrendous nausea, lovely
