has anyone got pregnant on the depo injection?

ive been on the depo for nearly three months, comming up to my 2nd one soon. Basically ive been feeling really emotional, my boobs have got bigger. Defnitley wasnt pregnant before I got the depo, havent done a test but does anyone know of anyone getting pregnant whilst being on this form of contraception?

Hi guys just been reading your stories and please do not judge mine but hear goes so I went for an abortion on the tenth of June 😭( it had to be done) and I got the depo shot on the 17th of June (never had it before) but turned out still there was some stuff left from the abortion so did the pills again that fails .. so I had to go through to the surgical abortion.. so that happened on the 11th of July I had sex 2 weeks ago with my partner and now I'm freaking out abit because I'm having hot flushes loss of appetite and got period pains and sore boobs .. is it possible I could be pregnant again? Please don't judge me because of what I've had to do .. it had to be done thanks

Hi, I recently got the depo contraception injection it’s the first time I have had the injection in 15 months as I stopped after I had the first one and went back on to the pill as I didn’t like how it made me feel. I thought I would give it a try one more time and got the injection about 3 weeks ago but now myself and my partner have decided we want to try for another baby (I know very bad timing😫) i have been reading stories about how people who have been on the injection can take months to years to get pregnant which has scared me a bit. I don’t know if these people was on it for a long period of time so a few years maybe taking it every 12 weeks so perhaps would take longer to come out of your system I’m not sure? I was just wondering if anyone else like me who has only just started the injection got pregnant after the 12 weeks or how long it did take them to fall pregnant? I have only had the 1 injection I’m not going back for the second so I’m hoping it works it’s way out of my system quickly! Has any one else been in the same/similar situation as I am in?

Hello.. I was on the depo shot for almost 3 years in November. Well I decided I wanted to get off of it bc it have my hip bones hurting and messing with my teeth. Besides I wanted my body to bleed out since I didn’t have regular periods. I had a period August 28th and 29th after that no periods. I usually bleed for two weeks straight up until I got the shot ALWAYS. My shot was due September 13, 2019.. haven’t seen any blood besides spotting. I’ve had tremendously lower back pain, beats are sore, and I’ve have bad cramping. I’ve taken two 1$ home tests but they came back negative. Really want a negative result bc I’m getting married Next year beginning of year. Tomorrow is October 1st and still no period for the month of September! 6 years ago I was on the depo shot and then 9 years ago I was on it with my first child .. both times I didn’t
Get the shot id bleed for two months straight . This is the first time I didn’t bleed after not getting the shot which is sooo unusual to me! Only thing I’ve been doing is spotting light pink every other week.

I have a question I’ve been on birth control before for 6 months then I got off it for a year then I’m back on it again but I didn’t wait the seven days to have sex and the guy did eject in me and I was wondering if I can get pregnant like that ? How high are the chances ?

Mommies help me understand,i started using depo last year August n i used to see my periods aftr one month or two i last saw my period early november den on the 31st of december 2019 i had unprotected sex and my next appointment was on the 1st of January 2020 nd i coundnt go to my appointment n only went on the 2rd of January 2020 n even drunk morning aftr pill same day since November i hvnt seeing my period i feel like i am pregnant bcos my belly is growing n i feel like my belly is hard nd my breast is releasing the yellowish fluid i bought pregnancy test 3times but all of them tested negative nd i feel.alot nauseas could this mean i am pregnant?i really don't want another baby anyone who experienced this while on depo?

I know it's an old thread but yes, my best friend got pregnant on the injection! She had been on it for a long time, found out she was 19 weeks pregnant when she was due for another top up. I have no idea how but it's possible on ANY birth control

I’ve read all the stories and from the looks of it it seems very possible to get on the depo. I have been on depo for 8months now I hadn’t had my cycle since December. My boyfriend and I recently been having sex alot and haven’t used protection I’ve been nauseous and breast been tender have gotten bigger as well. I’ve been feeling heavier have hot flashes at night constantly going to the bathroom dizzy and have headaches pelvic pain & been extremely tired more. I even had a pinkish spotting with the pelvic pain for 2days. He says he’s been having a few symptoms too only symptom I haven’t gotten is actually vomiting. I haven’t actually taken a test I’m terrified to become a mom. I don’t wanna be a bad mom. But I was wonder for those who’ve gotten pregnant on depo did any of these symptoms occur when you found out you were pregnant

Hi I’m new here!, and I had a a little bit not so little problem and I need your guyses help! 😅 April was my third shot of depo provera and I felt fine on it but I hit June which was my last week on it and started feeling really weird such as nauseous and really hungry! Which was quite odd for me I was craving all sorts of foods and I went in for a pregnancy test thinking I was pregnant due to no period and nausea but it came back negative which was on June 16th. Then I received a period after that date and today is July 2nd which I was due for a shot on July 1st and Im still on my period and it has gotten really heavy TMI but leaked down my leg which has never happened to me before! And my boobs have been really tender they hurt soo much it even hurts to pick up my child could I be pregnant? And tests just have been negative? I’m not so sure but I need answers! I just don’t know whether to go to the doctors and get checked out and get shut down and they say it’s depo side effects and if I were pregnant I would be happy I just need help

Just looking for another’s opinion 😊 so i had my second child in January of 2019. When I had assumed I was pregnant back in 2018 , I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after my missed period. It was negative. After 2 more weeks (a whole month after my missed period) I took another an it finally said positive. I had my baby in January 2019. I decided I wanted to be put back on birth control (he’s now 19 months) well I had my last period June 28. I went to be put on the depo on July 20th, 8 days before my next expected period. My doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks for a pregnancy test. I did an it was negative. I had ALSO missed my period that I was expecting July 28th, 8 days before they put me on the depo. So almost 2 months without a period an I’ve been on the depo for a month. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend almost 2 weeks after the shot an he didn’t pull out. I’ve been feeling exhausted lately, headaches, random mood swings where I’m extremely aggravated for no reason, food cravings (mostly shakes from McDonald’s😂) even severe cramps at times in my abdominal, sometimes I feel a sharp pain in my chest as well (maybe heartburn) ? I was hoping someone could give me there opinion? Could I have gotten pregnant before the depo? Or right when I got on the depo? Maybe my mind is just playing tricks with me? I’m soooo unsure

Hello, somebody help please . Soooo , I got the depo injection. Well I think I did . Thing about it . I did not feel it go in.You know how you can feel an injection go in your system , a little burn or something , nothing. So people are telling me it is just the hormone from the shot or whatever but I don’t believe it . My breasts are sore , they are producing a milky discharge , bumps around my areolas , tender and sensitive nipples , rings spreading and dark , line on my belly is very dark and steady getting longer, some foods I eat come right back up instantly.. no time to digest.. headaches, nausea, heartburn, fatigue, frequent urination , flutters , what feels like movement , etc .. it is so much.I have one Kid so I know I’m not crazy. Only thing , I cannot get a positive urine test

Hi so I had unprotected sex the day before my depo shot I was on the depo for 10 months prior to this unprotected sex and my boyfriend finishing in me I have been having abdominal cramps and lower back pains could I be pregnant according to the glow app I have downloaded it says that I’m 4weeks and 3days but ever test I take has been negative but I’ve been extremely tired and hungry and I have lost my abs that was the first thing I realized I’m not worried about being pregnant I just want to know should I be calm since I did take the depo shot a dafter it happened and then we had sex again last weekend which was 3 weeks after the shot was taken and I’m still cramping and feeling extremely tired and I’ve never felt like this while on the depo before.

I had my depo on the 20th January which I was late getting. And the nurse told me that I had to wait seven days before having sex, but I didn't wait for the seven days to have sex, me and my partner had sex on the 23rd of January.

Hi can anyone help here if been on the depo for seven years came off it 5 weeks ago now. Yesterday I had a pinkish red spots of blood then nothing then this morning I had dark red and brown I'm very confused is this normal as I have been searching it and its saying its implantation but I took a test and came back negative. I have minor cramp also sore back and side and very restless not sure if this is the depo or what. Please help
