I was a bit careless this month with contraception because sex is a bit rare in this house atm but we did er..have some and now I have had heartburn for a couple of days (usually only get in early pg)and AF is a little late but I knwo the answer - take a test! I have some coming in the post! Should be here early afternoon! Would not be good timing - due to start my degree in Sep!

How do you feel schneebly? Still shocked or is it sinking in now?

Will you tell him tonight, do you think?

doobydoo · 28/07/2006 21:01

SSSandy · 28/07/2006 21:10

congratulations schneebly, hope it's what you both want.

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:13

Thanks guys - will probably tell hom tomorrow because if I wake him up to tell him he will not remember and I will meantion something about being pg in a few days and he will say 'WHAT!!!???' and I will be like 'I told you already!' This happens a lot (with other conversations!) I don't know whether to go ahead with the course now or defer until next year!?

psychomum5 · 28/07/2006 21:15

still for you....and I think you would be better doing said course now (for something to while away the hours with), than trying with a baby/crawling toddler about!

mimi1uk · 28/07/2006 21:16

thanks hon, well good luck and i hope he is delighted, i think u should go ahead with ur course, x

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:18

Just worried about when the exams might be! Could be around due date! There are re-sits in August though so will probably go ahead! Not sure how I will do it anyway as have an (almost) 3 year old and an 18 month old already!

ComeOVeneer · 28/07/2006 21:21

How long is the course? TBH I would rather do it whilst pregnant (although I've always had easy pregnancies) that with a 4-5 month old to care for (as well as the other 2). Congrats too (btw I found out I was pregnant 3 days before I told dh - needed to get my head around it first before I could let him in on it).

mimi1uk · 28/07/2006 21:22

ah bless u u must b feeling so man different emotions, xx

Miaou · 28/07/2006 21:23

How are you in pregnancy schneebly - a bloomer or a puker? That could have an impact on whether or not you do your course.

Incidentally, which uni are you going to? Or are you doing it at UHI?

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:25

It is 3-4 years Comeoveneer! I am going to need to plan my time very carefully! I plan to tell DH tomorrow but might chicken out again! Then again - I am hosting karaoke tomorrow night and he will wonder if I dont have a few drinks so I probably will tell him!

OP posts:
schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:27

Mainly a bloomer Miaou - some nausea near start and some SPD problems but not severe so if this one is same should be okay. I am doing it through UHI - course led from Perth College but all online! Less time on mumsnet!

OP posts:
ocd · 28/07/2006 21:28

schneebly

you FOX!!!!

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:28

And thanks mimi - I am a bit confused - will feel better once DH knows but apprehensive about telling him! Stupid I know!

OP posts:
schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:29

Me? Fox? Nooo - more like slightly warm fish!

OP posts:
ComeOVeneer · 28/07/2006 21:30

Could you do a year of the course then defer the second year, once baby is born until you have things more sorted? A friend of mine did this at uni when she fell pregnant

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:32

A possibility comeoveneer! That would be good because by then DS1 would be going to school and DS2 in pre-school!

OP posts:
Miaou · 28/07/2006 21:34

Less time on mumsnet .... pah

You will not be able to resist the pull, you know it

You'll be like SallyStrawberry "ohmigod I have to finish this 40000 word essay tonight but I'm pissing about on mumsnet"

spidermama · 28/07/2006 21:35

Mumsnet's a mad place isn't it? I love the fact that I know schneebs is pg but Mr. Schneebs doesn't.

Best of luck to you though Schneebly. Complements to yours and his fertility too.

Miaou · 28/07/2006 21:36

Seriously though, these are all things you can talk over with dh to decide what to do for the best

What's your degree in?

schneebly · 28/07/2006 21:43

Thanks spidermama - we are lucky to be so fertile (DH had a retracile testicle when he was a child which wasnt repaired until he was quite old)

Miaou - BA child and youth studies but hoping to do a PGCE afterwards and become a teacher!
