CBFM users - peak detected, period 4 days late but BFN?

Feeling rather irritated at both my CBFM and my body and wondering if anyone shed any light on my situation.

CBFM detected peak on CD17/18. By my reasoning that made my period due on CD31. CBFM started flashing m on CD29. I am now on CD35. Have only had BFNs. I last did a test on the afternoon of CD33.

ARGH! What the fuck?

I had something similar the las time I was TTC - AF was 18 days late. CBFM never detected peak that cycle though.

Hi Zara, how strange!

I've only just started using my CBFM...so not massively knowledgeable. All I could think was maybe you OVed just after the peak I.e. Cd19 and you have a longer LP. I know mine is 15/16 days.

Implantation can be anything from 6DPO to around 12DPO, I think. And then you need a few days for the hormone level to show up even for the most sensitive tests. So you may have tested too early?? Or used a test that wasn't sensitive enough??

I hope you get your BFP and it's just a case of slightly later OV and a late implantation. Smile

Good luck.

Thanks Petite, it's really strange. The second time cycle we used it (ie when we conceived DS) I had peaks on days 15 and 16 and got a BFP on CD 29.

This is first cycle using it TTC #2. So frustrating. I've ordered some cheapie internet pregnancy tests. Reluctant to test again until they arrive as I've already spent plenty on tests (have been testing since CD28!).

DH suspects AF may be on it's way as apparently I'm being a grumpy cow Blush

Bizarre that if it detected peaks my period should be late if I'm really not pregnant?

Argh

Annoyed as CBFM is meant to make TTC less stressful and confusing, not MORE! I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we didn't conceive first month (that would be very very lucky) but would just like to know what's going on please! Angry

Hi Zara, I totally agree...these things are meant to make things less stressful!

With your DS, perhaps the egg implanted earlier?? Hence an earlier positive result. There are just so many variables! The one constant is meant to be your luteal phase though. It's only meant to vary by a day either way apparently. So I think you're still in with a chance. Smile Fx!!

Well, AF arrived today (CD37) So either my CBFM was wrong about when I ovulated or my body decided to behave strangely this month!

Doubt it was a chem preg as I got no positive tests at all.

Onwards! Smile

Did you need to reset the monitor? As maybe your cycle is different after having the baby
