Am I Seeing Things???

I absolutely thought I was out this month because when I predicted I would be ovulating my DP was away for the whole week working.

AF due today but hasn't appeared, had no symptoms of either a looming BFP or AF at all other than a few cramps, nothing like what I'm used to and no leg cramps which is very unusual for me.

I decided, out of hope more than anything, to do an IC HPT this morning and to my complete surprise I got what I think is a very very faint line with FMU. I didn't have time to do another one this morning but I did do one when I got in from work at about 17:15 and the line appears bolder than with FMU.

I have attached a pic of my FMU test (top pic - admittedly looks much fainter than it did in RL) and a pic of my test this evening at 4 minutes (middle) and again at 9 minutes (last). I would be so grateful if someone who was impartial could have a look at the pics and give my their opinion. I think I'm seeing what I want to see and the lines (if there are any) could well by evaporation lines. But in all honesty, wouldn't be surprised if no one else can see them, as I say, had already counted myself out this month a couple of weeks ago!

Ah full on congratulations Sausage!

I also had to wait all day to tell DH - I kept sending him loving texts & saying I couldn't wait for him to come home... He thought I'd broken something of his Grin

Brilliant news! Thanks

Ahhhh. So happy for you. It always seems to happen on those months you don't think you've caught it!

Have a lovely day on cloud 9!
X

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages Thanks Grin

Last I've already started that this morning! It was also our Anniversary on Saturday so I've told him I've got him a belated present, he will have no idea what I'm talking about! Really can't wait to see him later!

This haha you can happily keep your hat! I don't know when to start telling people in RL, or whether I should just wait until I've at least been to the doctors (by the way, do I just phone the doctors up and tell them I'm pregnant? Can you tell I've never done this before!)

I still can't believe it, was not prepared for it this month. all I think it helps when you least expect it, takes away the worry and the long 2ww which I didn't subject myself to this month!

It's weird that now I know the cramps and lower back twinges I'm getting is my body adjusting itself and not period pains (or constipation as I thought it was!) and that I'm actually enjoying the feeling as opposed to hoping it's a sign that AF will soon be here so we can start the cycle again! I'm sure it'll hit home soon Grin xxx

Yes, call the surgery, tell them you're pregnant and don't know what to do! They'll either book you straight in with the MW or for GP referral depending on whats standard for your practice!
That first visit is pretty underwhelming, just lots of leaflets & ticking boxes, but telling people is ace!
Good luck for a quiet and healthy pregnancy! Xx

Sausagesaurus · 27/11/2013 19:06

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages and thanks last for advising me, I will call them first thing in the morning Smile

So I've finally been able to tell my DP! I wrapped the HPT up in a box and tissue paper and gave it to him. He can't believe it! Only today he was asking me when would be the best time to DTD this month so he can work work around it!

He's so happy, and he's going to be an amazing dad! He's already talking about getting onto his boss about getting his pay rise sorted and asking if he can come to my appointments with me (obviously he didn't need to ask!)

This year has just been the best year ever and this is the cherry on top. We couldn't be happier! Xx
