Prolapsed womb - what are the chances of conceiving?

To keep it brief, I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy yesterday. The consultant was very brief and didn't really give me enough info, but I was half out of it still.
He just said that I have a prolapsed womb. They can remove it but I will be left with scar tissue that may be painful.
He said all this knowing that I do want another baby.

No more detail given, just come back and see me in 6 weeks.

Now I am not so spaced out I don't think I can leave it like that for 6 weeks.

Does anyone know anything about prolapsed wombs in thirty somethings?

Thanks.

you poor thing. that sounds like a horrible thing to go through. I dont really know about prolapses only that its not uncommon. I think it will depend how serious it is ie how far down its moved as to the diagnosis. I think part of the reason that midwives go on and on about kegel exercises is to help avoid prolapse. If you felt really out of it when the doc was talking to you it might be an idea to go back and talk to your GP. Ask for a lady doc. Sorry this isnt very helpful - I just feel for you ...being poked and prodded and then probably having doctorspeak thrown at you too quickly for you to really take in!!
I hope its not too serious and you can do some kegels to get back into shape before ttc.
