New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

Hi lizzie, still waiting for AF, just heaviness in stomach and some cramping!!
Have a fab girly weekend planned, so won't be too disappointed if she rears her ugly head, I can enjoy some wine!!

You're all so sweet :) I like the idea that it's not a real cycle until you have your first proper af. I actually feel ok, I thought I'd be gutted but I did feel as if I was about to come on so kind of expected it. And I feel a bit more certain that I'll know when ovulation will be this time so I feel like we will properly be trying rather than just guessing. I'm also kind of relieved it came because I know a lot of people struggle to get their periods back after the pill so I'm very grateful that's not me. Thank you everyone!

Lizzie1985 · 26/11/2013 19:49

Gosh, sorry littlebear, I think I mean honeybear (all these bears!)Honeybear, what's your AF like? Is it heavy/light or much like you remember? I'm obsessed with what they're supposed to be like straight of bcp!!

Honeybear30 · 26/11/2013 19:55

Much like I remember before, and considering I have been on depo and pill for about 8 years I'm impressed how well I remember how my body works. Cramping yesterday, starving for the previous 3/4 days, came on today. Medium for now but I know it will get painful. I definitely remember that bit! But I guess it could be different this time, ask me again in a few days! I only stopped my pill in 27th October so I'm happy af is here already, although of course I would have preferred a bfp!

Lizzie1985 · 26/11/2013 20:02

I'd be grateful- sounds like you're in full working order again and ready to conceive! Smile

I'm in a quandary. Should I test again?

HippyJess · 26/11/2013 20:09

MrsW sadly don't get to see DP til Thursday this week :( but it's something to look forward to, definitely Grin

Littlebear we, um, DTD quite a lot anyway Blush but he's such a soppy git I think his "Christmas come early" feeling will be when we eventually get a BFP! Wink glad your weekend will be positive either way!

Honeybear do keep positive, as others say now you know where your cycle is so you can get on it properly :)

Lizzie that does sound suspiciously implantation-like but I am an eternal optimist who needs to be regularly hit in the head Wink when did you test/when was AF actually due?

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 26/11/2013 20:09

If it was me and id only bked for two days I would test again, but I am probably not the best person too ask because I am very impatient and HAVE. TO. KNOW. EVERYTHING. NOW Grin When did you last test and what did you use? Do you do anything you'd need to stop doing if you were pg?

Lizzie1985 · 26/11/2013 20:15

Well if I was back to normal I would have been due around Friday. On Saturday I tested and it was negative, but almost straight away got this pink discharge, which I assumed was AF. But then it didn't develop. Thing is, coming off BCP, I don't know if or when I've ovulated, so not really sure when to test. The suspense is driving me crazy but don't want to get a false BFN! Think I'll wait till Saturday. Thanks for your advice ladies x

HippyJess · 26/11/2013 20:17

Probably wise Lizzie :) how very sensible and patient of you - I'm with GoHumpInTheNight on the needing to know ASAP Grin

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 26/11/2013 20:23

Ha, I havent even ovulated yet and I want to know of I'm pg Grin

ReginaFelange22 · 26/11/2013 20:24

honeybear did you have a withdrawal also?

My final pill was the 26th of oct and I'm still waiting for AF but I had a withdrawal afterwards, confused!!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 26/11/2013 20:30

Mine took 33 days to come regina, don't worry yet

ReginaFelange22 · 26/11/2013 20:33

Lol cool! I just want it to come now! Will make things easier for TTC as my OH works away, any longer and I'll prob ovulate when he is away and then we have no chance! :(

Honeybear30 · 26/11/2013 20:36

Hi Regina yes I did have withdrawal on the 30th October for about 4 days. So exactly 27 days later I've got af. I used to have a 28 day cycle. I can't believe I've been so lucky for it to come so quick. Everything I've read seems to imply it would have taken longer. I shouldn't worry just yet, 33 days isn't that long.

lizzie well done on the patience!

ReginaFelange22 · 26/11/2013 21:49

I was fairly regular (from what I remember before) but thought it would've been here by now! :(

Lizzie1985 · 27/11/2013 07:45

Regina have you done a hpt?

ReginaFelange22 · 27/11/2013 07:51

I'm assuming them at means pregancy test? Lol! Sorry I'm still getting used to these abbreviations! If so, then no. I'll wait until next week at least xx

Hibou7688 · 27/11/2013 10:43

This month I have had weird pains quite frequently, sometimes it's like a period pain that lingers, other times it's like a sharp jab to the pubic area! Also had some dull lower back/coxyx (sp??) pain in the last week or so. My period isn't due til like 5th/6th dec. Am I symptom spotting or could this be something?? Not got any pregnancy tests because I know I shouldn't be testing but it's doing my head in not knowing! Last time i dtd was 6th nov just before my last period!

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 11:40

Its so interesting reading all of these posts about AF's being due and ovulation dates, cant wait to have my coil out (in 3 hours time!eek) so i can join in. I feel like i cant contribute much atm so forgive me for just sort of bobbing in and out with my random posts!
Told work i have an app with the bank so i hope the doctor isnt behind on her schedule and that idont bump into anyone i know in there!

Im freaking out that she wont be able to find the strings so tbh i just wanna get it over with even though me and my DH have been argueing thismorning so right now i dont even want to DTD tonight with him! ha.

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 12:00

the closer it gets to my appointment the more sick i feel....

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 12:01

Tell me what happened with yours Jess? and include all the tmi!

HippyJess · 27/11/2013 12:50

If it makes you feel better Grin everyone else - TMI alert, look away!

It was this simple: got waist-down naked as you'd expect! Lay down. She checked to see if she could feel the strings, by putting fingers up and pressing on my abdomen presumably to shift my cervix around. She could, but it was ok either way, she just would've used a small tool if she hadn't been able to feel them. Then she put the speculum in, reached up and pulled! It's kinda like if you pull out a tampon but it's still a bit dry, except farther up. It was a tad uncomfortable but it didn't hurt. That was it, it was out! She let me get dressed and off I went :)

Hopefully that's reassuring! Wink

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 12:57

omg so she did it with her fingers!? i thought they used tweezer like things to grab hold of it. ouch... she wont be able to get hold of my string with her fingers as its only just sticking a few mils out of the cervix opening... god wish half 2 would hurry up so i could just get it over with!

Thanks for sharing Jess, everyone, you can look back now! ha.

Feel too sick to eat my lunch Sad

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 27/11/2013 13:12

Did you keep it jess? Grin

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 13:22
