was just wondering if anyone has had probs detecting their most fertile periods using a clearblue ov testing kit?
I've got really regular periods(28 days)and have detected(using net)that my most fertile days are today/tomorrow and i'm meant to ov on sat.I've got a clearblue ov test and have been testing since monday, first thing every morning, and even this morning it was blank?and its meant to be my most fertile time!!??

I've experienced this before when testing for my most fertile times and it didn't detect anything yet i got pregnant that cycle?so thought that was really weird??
Any suggestions?,would be muchly appreciated!!,thanx.x.xmichelle.x

Can't stay on here for long as I'm supposed to be working...but...

I have a 28 day cycle and use opks for a long time with nothing showing until I got fed up and used LOADS one month. Found I was ov around day 18 or 19. So you might just be later than the 'textbook normal' (whatever that is!!!!)

Do the instructions say to use first morning urine then? The tests I use emphasise using urine from midday or later.

wannabump2006 · 30/06/2006 17:26

yeah it said that using your first 'wee' of the day would be best but that you could test at any other time of the day as long as you stick to that time(ish) for all the testing you do!?
I'm figuring that if me and dh just keep bding up till the end of next week then we're properly covering ourselves and see if AF turns up on 15th? what does anyone think?has anyone else got stressed out with these bloody tests and just ditched them??......
thanks alot coggy thats really good to know!just incase i'm similar!!

bin them. the more you stress, the later you will ovulate, and the later you ovulate, the later your af will be, and the later your af is, the more you will convince yourself you're pg, and the more you convince yourself you're pg, the more disappointed you will be when your af arrives, and the more disappointed you are when your af arrives the more you will stress about next month and so the circle of ttc continues.

I know I'm not an expert to be talking about how to get pregnant as we've been trying for 13 months now without success, but I do know that the past two month I've spent much less time worrying about getting pregnant, much less time on these boards counting days and looking for simptoms, and although I want to have a baby, I know that stressing about getting pregnant isn't going to make me fall pregnant any quicker, and I'm much more relaxed and happy for it.

good luck x

I am using the clear blue fertility monitor this month and am on day 16 and no signs of ovualtion, i am also charting this month.

The reason i am doing all this, this month is because since coming off the pill last July my periods were very irregular (46-70 days apart) and have been referred to the fertility hospital as i do not ovualte, however my last period came after 35 days so i am doing all this, this month to see if i have started to ovulate. (sorry think that is a bit long winded)

You see if i do ovualte then i might not go private whereas if i don't i am def going private as nhs are taking forever!

Only one draw back in being extra good this month - no booze (not that you are meant to drink much when ttc) as it sends my temp right up and don't want to risk missing the ovualte signs on the chart.

Also thought you ladies might want to try this :

today i sent the following questions to 63336:

Q: When will i have a baby?

A: AQA predicts that you will fall pregnant on 24 December 2006. Your baby, a boy , will be born next September and will be the oldest in his year at School.

Only a bit of fun but though you lot might want to have a go and see what answers you get.

Sorry i have gone on for ages.

coggy · 01/07/2006 10:51

What's AQA Natty?

Natty1806 · 01/07/2006 10:55

AQA is the name of the service that answers the question.

However i asked it another one last night and it is wrong as it said i would have two girls within a short space of time named, sophie and Ellie.

Must admit though was thinking if i had girl i would name her Sophia.

coggy · 01/07/2006 10:57

What questions does it answer?
Is it a text service?

Natty1806 · 01/07/2006 11:25

Any question you want, yeah it is a text service - costs a pound though.

coggy · 01/07/2006 13:49

What else have you asked it?

wannaBe1974 · 01/07/2006 15:37

lol sounds like a weeze to make money to me - now why didn't i think of that! set up a premium rate text service ... lol

coggy · 01/07/2006 19:07

I'm trying to think of some really good questions!

coggy · 01/07/2006 22:33

What happened to the not drinking cos you were plotting your temps?!!! (says me out on the lash last night!! )

Is you DH old?
(Can't work out what the O is for otherwise!!)

coggy · 01/07/2006 22:34

Just got it as I pressed post - 'Other Half' right?

I thought you meant 'Old Husband'!!!!!

Pass the bicardi breezers!!!!!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 01/07/2006 22:39

I tried them 2 years ago when first ttc and NEVER got a positive result and tested early, mid and late in cycles and nothing. Am definitely ovulating as persona showed the result and found one kicking around so thought I would give it a go and no, nothing. Persona much better I think.

Natty1806 · 01/07/2006 23:58

Yes other half he is yet to make an honest women of me.

Just got in he has had one too many and i have some pancake rolls

i know, i know, temp dropped as well to 36.15 which is the lowest all month so far day 16? and when i checked pants (sorry TMI) at half time we had some dis. so you know temp is going to increase to 36.45+ and i will not know if i ov or not??

Why do i do this?
booze is bad.

if my temp stays high with expection to tomorrows temp does that mean i have ov?

Oh my god i am going on.x

coggy · 02/07/2006 14:43

Natty...I'm slightly concerned by your comment - we had some dis.

Can't believe i wrote on here when i was drunk. LOL

Natty1806 · 03/07/2006 07:31

Oh yeah CBFM had a high fertility sign again today , still no peak but gonna get OH in the mood later, which is hard when it is so bloody hot.

Also temp dropped to 36.05 today, cancelling my private hospital visit (it was just to look around) as fingers crossed my body is starting to work and my OH thinks we should stick with the nhs and save our money.

Anyway best go to work now.

Speak later. x
