Scarred cervix following LLETZ and possible cervical dilation to fix it - any experience?

Hi everyone.

I've just found out at my post LLETZ (procedure for removal of pre-cancerous cells following abnormal smear) follow up that I have scarring to my cervix which has left it the size of a pin hole. I have been TTC#1 for 10 months since the procedure and the consultant yesterday said it could be preventing me from conceiving. She is in the process of referring me to gynae to see what they recommend and if a cervical dilation procedure under general would resolve the problem.

Has anyone any experience of this? Good or bad?!

Thanks. :)

hello, I know this post is a few months old but have you seen the gynae now and did you have the procedure? How did they determine there was scarring? Was this done on an ultrasound and did you have any other symptoms? I had a lletz in 2022 and have had lighter bleeds since and trying to rule out possible causes.
