So, what do we think.... is sex everyday a good idea or not?

DH thinks that, because he's only 26, his body can cope with sez every day and his sperm doesn't need time to recover. We've dtd nearly every day with a few breaks in between, but am interested to know whether daily sex really is bad for sperm production or not? We're planning on dtd daily while I'm ovulating - is this is a good approach? What do you reckon?

I would say to you to have sex when you both feel like it, not just when you think its ovulation time. What if one of you did not actually feel like having sex?. Self predicting when ovulation happens is nigh on impossible, it is too easy to get that date wrong and it is also quite possible to have periods without ovulating. It is said that sex two or three times a month throughout the month is fine.

Do not put undue pressure on yourselves by going down the route of timing of intercourse.

Is self prediction of ovulation that difficult when looking at cm, cp or temping/using opks? I know what you're saying about not putting undue pressure on each other for sex but it's easier said than done :)

I think it's still pretty hit and miss even when doing all those things as bodies are notoriously sneaky and have a way of going of course without letting us in on it GrinWink
