I was last pregnant three years ago, so can't remember what early symptoms I had other then missed period and period like cramps. I got diagnosed with PCOS year and a half go, currently been trying for Dc2 since mid July, and don't get periods often at all so don't really know what else to look for if I'm likely to conceive naturally again? Don't really want to test after every month, as too cost effective! I also don't know when i ovulate either. Please can someone advise?

My only advice is please please please try not to symptom spot! I have had all the symptoms since trying to conceive out second and one month I was convinced I was pg as had everything but alas af reared her ugly head!! I think for your head some cheap tests from amazon would be better than looking for symptoms but believe me I know easier said than done!!!

Thank you, yep I'm sure I did that last time we were trying and it's all in your head! I did look at those tests earlier, are they likely to work being so cheap though?

From other people's posts its seems like they do but I know superdrug ones are supposed to be v good and always on offer so you can get about 4 of them for about 8 pound so enough to get you through a month! I feel I learnt from that month of being convinced and hope to help others not to have that disappointment!! Xx

I reckon you could google pretty much any symptom with the word 'pregnant' and find someone somewhere who'd had it and turned out to be pregnant:

'Itchy knee, pregnant'
'Sore neck, pregnant'
'hot all the time, pregnant'

etc. Be careful! I had just about every 'typical' pregnancy symptom going earlier this week and then AF arrived. Generally better to wait for a missed period I'd think.

I only get periods every couple of months though so I wouldn't be able to tell that way :( that's why I asked if there were any other symptoms to look for. Thanks Bambi27 will have a look in Superdrug in the week!

No worries it's the standard ones not. Digital people recommend x

Kt, why don't you buy a big pack of cheap opks and use one everyday to help you work out if and when you're ovulating? I've bought 30 from Amazon for about £6 and will test every day for a month or two because I also do not know when I ovulate. Sorry if you've already thought about this!

Thank-you VJONES1985 and Bambi27, I had looked at some in Tescos yesterday, and they were like 9.00 and you didn?t get many in them so will look on Amazon! Thanks :)

I know every1 is saying not to look at symptoms but everytime I have been pregnant (4dds and a miscarriage) I would wake with a really full ( snots :) ) nose and my pee was cloudy. Every time
Also I bought the really cheap ones from home bargains etc. They are the exact same ones the doc used when confirming I was pg. You can also get them from eBay. Called NHS ovulation/pregnancy tests. You get around 10 ovulation/ 5 pregnancy tests for quite cheap ( a few £ ) Used them when TTC dd3, took over a year. Got pregnant after 2 months of using ovulation tests.
Not sure if ovulation tests are any good as you said you have irregular cycles but might he worth a shot :)

I'm sure I was told ovulation tests were no good when you have pcos Confused. As for symptoms I always get really strong smelling 'mans' wee!! Yuck. Good luck
