My first month trying....only 11days till can do test feels like forever!

Hi Danielle - good luck! This us my first month too but no idea when to test because I've just come off the pill and have no idea how long my cycle is or even whether I'm ovulating yet! Think I'll give it another four weeks and then test if AF hasn't appeared.

I had 2 full months off pill using protection then 3rd month now started ov kit and tested ovulating day 13 so approx 20th due period hope it don't come. I'm very excited/nervous!

Which OPK are you using? And did your cycle return quickly after stopping the pill?

First month it went back to normal, very lucky! I've been using clearblue, not the digital just the lines that show lh surge.
How old are you?

I'm 28 and was on the pill for 12 years solid. You? I'm on day 8 of my cycle and appear to have EWCM now so am thinking of using an OPK today/tomorrow. I only have the stick ones that test for LH but mine are Asda own-brand so I hope they're reliable.

I was on the pill for over 9 years too! Your young your b fine :) I'm 24.

Good luck! I would have 1st period so you kno ov date then start month after, it really helped me doing it this way. I think asda brand be fine, it's people pay for the brand they all do the same I think! If I am not preg next month I will prob buy tesco brand as a lot cheaper clear blue expensive!

Yeah,there is recommendations to wait for at least one period but I wanted to catch the 'hormonal surge' some women have straight after stopping the pill. Plus, doctors can always use a dating scan to work out how pregnant I am, ha ha! We're one week into TTC now and I'm getting those familiar aches and twinges that I used to get many moons ago that hopefully show my cycle is returning to normal.

I keep going from positive to negative... At the moment, I'm positive and convinced my cycle will return quickly and I'll be pg by xmas (my goal). But other days I'm convinced we're going to have major issues even though I have no basis for that :-( If I'm not pg by xmas I will be gutted because I'm a control freak and can't cope if things don't go to plan.

I'm on cycle 1 yes, 20th I will kno if cycle 1 is a yes or no x

This is our first month TTC number 2! Our DD1 is 10 months now and my AF came back 2 months ago so we will see what happens!

I'm newly pregnant with my first baby and me and hubby got pregnant from our first month of trying so it can happen!!

That's such positive news! Makes me happy :) how far preg are you?

I think what I will find tough to accept is that we are doing everything we should be to fall pregnant and so it would make me wonder what we're doing wrong. Unless of course my period just doesn't return for ages, in which case I will just be worried and frustrated.

Mine was first month period so it can go normal straight away!
Because I want this so bad I am also worrying but no facts to worry, some women try for months leading into years! So brave

I'm the same - I'm a worrier and also a control freak so it's hard to not be able to control this. Just need to relax and enjoy, as hard as that is!
