If any of you ladies have experienced this, I could really use your input! I have no idea what's going on....

I'm on cycle day 13, I had my last period which seemed fairly normal, but I've been having a lot of early pregnancy symptoms, which doesn't make any sense having had a period. I've been nauseous, really hungry, very tender/sore breasts, had fatigue, been really emotional (like PMS) and had a lot of cramping (almost like period cramping). My partner and I had sex 4 days before my period and 2 and 5 days after. When we had sex last night, I had to stop because I felt so nauseous. It's more than 2 weeks before my next period, and I don't know if there's any point taking a test at this point or if I should just wait? I know ovulation can cause some cramping (and I've had this before) but I've never had the other symptoms around ovulation before. What do you think? Is it even possible that I could be pregnant, or is it just ovulation related? Should I take a test now or wait until closer to when my period is due? Thanks so much in advance!

Do the test! They are extremely accurate nowadays. Always best to know. Good luck!

So when are you due af?

But yes the easiest way to find out is to poas and come back and let us know!

FrankelInFoal · 07/08/2013 16:02

You could be pregnant from your last cycle, but you could also just be ill. The only way to know for sure is take a test now.

If you have just ovulated it is very very very unlikely that you'd be experiencing symptoms already. Most women don't get symptoms until weeks after ovulation, not days.

lizziep17 · 07/08/2013 16:23

Cookielove, I'm not due for more than 2 weeks. I didn't think a test would be accurate at this point, but I guess it's worth a try. FrankelinFoal, I don't think I have ovulated yet this cycle. I think it would have to have been last cycle, but I didn't know if that was even possible, if I did have a period?

Thanks for the tips, all. When I do the test, I will let you know.

It is def possible you are pregnant on your last cycle assuming the af/bleed you had wasn't heavy, especially with a wide variety of symptoms.

I am 5+6 today and have very few symptoms still.

lizziep17 · 07/08/2013 16:58

It wasn't particularly heavy, but it wasn't particularly light either. I had a fair bit more spotting before and after than is normal though. The cramping started the same day the period ended, which was the first thing that made me think something was up. Is 5+6 5 to 6 weeks? Sorry, I don't know the lingo!

Sorry its 5 weeks 6 days Smile

FrankelInFoal · 07/08/2013 17:07

It is possible to bleed as if you are having a period whilst pregnant, though not common.

I'm currently 10+1 (after 3 years of ttc) and didn't get any symptoms until about 5/6 weeks.

lizziep17 · 07/08/2013 17:28

Thanks, both of you. I guess I'd better just do the test and find out - I keep putting it off as I'm so nervous. Congratulations to you both, also!

It was negative. I'm totally devastated, even thought it wasn't really planned. My partner wants to wait until closer to when AF is due and test again, but I'm not feeling hopeful.

I'm sorry Sad, but I suppose it was unlikely given you'd had AF. Doesn't mean you won't get pg from this month's 'efforts' Wink though - it just won't show up for a while yet. Don't be disheartened!

Thanks RaRaZ.
