When did you tell family/friends

How many weeks or even months did you leave it before telling your friends and family your good news of getting a bfp?

Family and friends 12 weeks. Except my mum who I told at 4 weeks. Work had to hang in until about 15 weeks. Smile

With my 1st pregnancy I told my mum, best friend and dh told his best friend straight away (around 5weeks pregnant). I ended up miscarrying and needed to confide in several people for the support. Really hated that I had to tell people like my dad and brother that I had mc when they didn't even know I'd been pregnant.

Only just got my 2nd bfp today, but planning on telling all the people who know about the mc that I'm pregnant again - so close friends and family - over the next week. Everyone else will find out after 12 week scan, if I get that far.

Congratulations to you all. My A.F is due on 1 Aug so if she doesn't arrive I'll test on the Friday 2 Aug. Although I'm tempted to test before
Sorry for your M/C, trinpy. I also had an m/c and went on to have my D.D. There would have been 11 months between them xx

told my mum around 8wks each time, had all sorts of bleeds and complications with all the three dc and many some mcs along the way. Work and friends generally got told around 5-6 months, luckily nothing to see til 22wks+ with all of them Grin

Told my mum and dad as soon as I found out. Would have waited longer with other family, but my mum cannot keep secrets like that. People at work also knew quite early on (not everyone, but about four of my colleagues), because in my job it's hard to just rush to the loo whenever you need to...and we've got quite a few sickie children all through the year. It was good that they did know, since I had the beginning of my mc at work and someone could take over from me quickly, without having to go into a long explanation.
Family know about my mc, which I actually find a relief.
Will tell my parents when I get pregnant again, hoping this time my mum can keep it quiet. Same colleagues will be informed as before.

I'm 10+4 and we told our parents last weekend. Have told my supervisor at work because of having to have time off for appointments but won't formally tell the company and HR until after 12 wk scan. I really want to tell friends this weekend as I'm starting to show but DH is adamant we should wait until scan as we know of three friends who found out at the scan they'd mc'd.

Hoping scan appt comes through soon as I'm getting rather impatient (also running out of excuses for not going to spas, drinking, booking random holidays for next year)

I'm was considering telling no one until 12 weeks, but; 1. I'm so excited I don't want to hold it in Grin, 2. It would be nice to have support if I do mc but, 3. Family have already got enough stresses and strains in their lives at moment I don't want to cause more worry :/
