Hello !

I have tried to be away from internet because after 4 miscarriages I was getting a bit too much information to get pregnant again. But after today's appointment I thought I would come to seek your advise.

I got pregnant again. My last period was 4th June 2013, I believe I ovulated aroun the 20th of June, today 26 July I thought I was 7 weeks. I had some brownish spotting, and since I finished work I went to the Early Pregnancy Unit. To my surprise they told me there was a sac but 5 weeks. I know how we can the weeks, but how do the ultrasound expert calculates the "age" of the embryo?

In addition I don't feel any nausea and my boobs aren't as sore as before.

I am booked for another appointment in one week to see if it has grown, but I am worried sick. I will be devastated if this is not going anywhere again.

I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and ended up with a beautiful baby anyway.

I will be obliged if you can share your experience, and please don't mimnd being realistic. Fingers crossed.

Thank you!

(i poste din two different threads because I am not sure where should I post it. Thanks!

Oh dear. It doesn't sound too good to be honest. I have had terrible frights (and some miscarriages), and twice ended up with a baby I'd given up hoping for. Both times they were twin pregnancies, and I had lost one, and bled heavily. I could not believe there could still be a baby in there, but there was. That said, the times when I knew my dates, and the scan showed it to be less than that have never worked out for me. How sure are you about when you ovulated? At seven weeks there should be a heartbeat on the scan.

I really hope it all works out for you. If it doesn't this time, then you still have other chances, so try not to be too despondent (easier said than done I know). Best wishes!

Hello mumsknitter,

Thank you for your message. On Friday I ended up disappearing from any human connection and decided to wait to see what would happen, and the outcome is miscarriage. We will try to find an specialist for miscarriage and go from there.

I think your nickname reminded me I am able to knit Smile and I have started a small project, but with crochet this time, just to get my mind busy when I am off work.

Thank you very much! Wish you well and lots of baby dust!

Hi chillipeppers, thank you for your reply! And congrats in having your little angel! I want it so much as well!

Did you go to an specialist or it just worked without any medical or medication help?

Thanks! :)

I was planning to see someone then found out I was pregnant. Had a totally "normal" pregnancy. Now planning no2! I'm sure you'll get there mon. But push to see someone. They should see you they say you have to have 3 or more micarriges to specialist. Good luck with everything. Xx

Definitely seek help now. There must be an underlying issue and often it can easily be treated. Sometimes I ends up to be immune related, and that will take time to sort, but is still doable!
