Breastfeeding and fertility signs...

My DS is almost 10 months old and is breastfed. My AF returned 2 cycles ago (2 AFs - both 28 days) and we are TTC - not overly actively but I'm keeping an eye out as to what's going on!

Last month I had very little fertile CM but we did the deed approaching and including the 14th day. Then I got loads of EWCM for the next 10 days so I wasn't sure if I had been too premature and we DTD some more. Anyhow, no pregnancy. This month I have had EWCM approaching day 14 and am now having a second phase of EWCM yesterday and today (day 17 & 18). My cervix is soft and high.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Could I still be anovulatory but getting AF? I think I might get an OPK next month to check things out as i'm thoroughly confused!

Personally I've never noticed any ov pain. I often get 'windy' pains so I would just pass it off as that I guess! With DS I got a BFP at 10dpo which is about the earliest you could get one I think. I was pg before I had DS (had an early mc) and was going away for the weekend so did a test at 11DPO and it was negative. But got a BPF the day I returned which was 15dpo (1 day after af was due).

So I guess it depends how obsessive you are . I would say to wait and see if your AF appears first. I always planned to do that but when TTCing DS I found myself drawn to doing pg tests for the few days before AF was due!

I have extreme metallic taste in my mouth today. I took folic acid for the first time - could it be that? Or any other good explainations? I'm getting excited that I might in fact be pg even though I know that I'm most likely not!

I have been taking folic acid every day since before dd was conceived and never had a metallic taste so could be a good sign

I have been really tired,feeling sick,can't stop weeing and had cramps yesterday(could be implantation pains? that is if i ovulated atall this month?) but we will see??

I have a semi matalic taste in my mouth but i have a tongue stud so that could be making it worse? I don't believe that folic acid can give you a metallic taste, I have bee taking it for some time and it didn't give me a metalliic taste?

What cycle day are you on?

Erm - i think I'm due on on Thursday. The metallic taste isn't there so far today but it was so vile yesterday I spent the whole day drinking water! Took a cheapo Access Diagnostics test this morning and get a BFN. No doubt I'll be testing again in a couple of days lol!

Hope you get your BFP Pinky - I've been feeling exhausted (but not sure if that's due to DS getting more mobile) and a bit sicky at times. The one thing for me that I've had a lot the last week is very vivid dreams and I remember I had loads when pg with DS. Usually of the, ahem, erotic variety

The thing is i feel pregnant, all the symptoms i have are the same as with my second? How strange? When do you think the earliest is that i may get a true result?

I have done an access diagnostic cheapy today aswell (25miu) and it is negative?

Metallic taste is still there... and have been feeling really queasy at times today. And the test I took has an evap line! But I bet I'm not pg lol!

earliest for a possible result would be 10DPO or as a very rough guide, 4 days before you're due on. Although for a good result then wait until your af is overdue.

I have no evap line,nothing :-( How long does an evap line take to get and is it really faint?

the evap line is really faint - I checked it 20 mins after the test and it was there as a little shadow! I'm assuming it is an evap line and isn't a positive though. But I guess there's always a chance!

I should know better by now - I once was convinced I was pg when I was 18 and did 2 tests, they were both BFN. But then checked them an hour later and there was an evap line. And was sh*tting it! The doc confirmed I wasn't pg for me as I freaked out so much lol!

did another cheapy test this morning and it is neg :-(

I am either 7dpo or 10dpo that is if i ovulated this month. Am not feeling sick this morning.

How about you? Do you still have the metallic taste?

I reckon the metallic taste was something else as it seems to be dying back. I took 2 tests this morning - both BFNs. CP is now low so looks very much like AF will be coming. I think what I hate most about the 2WW is that AF hormones make you daft about testing and also I know that if AF arrives, that's another month to go! I can't handle all this bding!

:-) did you get an evap line on the 2 neg test yesterday? I did another tst today and bfn- :-(

I am soooo impatient especially when the test are so cheap :-)

Well I was wrong! AF is now officially late (although I still feel like I've got AF!) and I have a BFP!!!!! Really hoping it sticks.

So it looks like that late EWCM was me ovulating!
