Thank you! I will start from day 10 - only got Internet cheapies anyway so trying me for the first time this month. I'm temping so that usually shows when I have ovulated but I'd like to know beforehand!

I think we missed the window the last two months - first month we stopped too early and I had a weirdly long 35 day cycle and then last month I ovulated early so we hadn't started trying yet (plus DH was the two days before I ovulated so couldn't anyway).

Cd7 tomorrow so will start from Monday.

Captainmcgraw · 27/06/2013 19:35

What a courageous decision Linda and sounds like the right one for you. Still, who knows, maybe this will be the month? All the best.

lindamagoo · 27/06/2013 20:38

Thanks everyone, was a tough call but realistically with my health problems and being 42 I think 3 kids under 5 years old would be a struggle so I'm gona sit happily up the back of the bus and watch all you lovely ladies get dropped off at the antenatal stop Grin

IWantOneNow · 27/06/2013 21:19

Oh Linda. I'm sorry to hear your news, but ur right to have made a discussion with DH and made the right decision for u both. Sometimes it is because we get carried away with our friends getting pregnant! I'm sure ur making the right decision and I hope u have a great life with ur 2 boys u already have, some of us don't even reach that xx. Glad ur sticking around for a bit tho Smile

ChubbyKitty · 28/06/2013 00:40

Disney I'm doing it about 3 in the afternoon as I read somewhere that fmu is too concentrated so its not accurate. Even though don't they say to use fmu for a pregnancy test? Haha, all the different types of wee available. It's crazyGrin

FoxMulder · 28/06/2013 08:33

Argh, I got my 4th flashing smiley this morning! What's that supposed to mean?! I'm rapidly losing faith in these OPKs.

It says to use FMU on the clearblues, but I've heard the opposite too.

I had a dream last night about a positive OPK and Andy Murray. Disturbing. Grin

gillywillywoo · 28/06/2013 08:40

Lindaaaaaaaaaa! Well done in making a tough decision and I'm sure it's the right one for you.... BUT... I bet you get a bfp this month!!! Grin

gillywillywoo · 28/06/2013 08:43

I'm praying I don't get a positive OPK tomorrow as I'm staying at my sisters house and won't be able to dtd!

Anytime from Sunday is fine as we'll be back home Sunday night and not back in work til next Thursday! Please please please god! Smile

Currently cd16 and didn't get a positive last month til cd20 so hoping for the same this month!

LittleMachine · 28/06/2013 08:51

Ah Linda. A tough decision. (Fingers crossed for you this month though).

Still (imaginary) symptom spotting like crazy here.

lindamagoo · 28/06/2013 09:05

Don't think I'll get a bfp this month, still been doing the opk's and still no +ve one yet, last time we dtd was Monday so it's time to start looking for my puppy, lol Smile Decided to focus on learning to drive, had my provisional since I was 17 and never even took a lesson, gona brave it this year Smile

blueamber · 28/06/2013 09:18

The clearblue advanced OPKs you use with fmu, because they also measure oestrogen. The ones that just measure LH (e.g. internet ones), they say not to use fmu. I prefer the clearblue ones, even though they're more expensive you know you can't miss the surge.

Fox it's normal to have 4-5 days of flashing smilies with those, because it can detect your surge multiple days in advance. You should get your smiley tomorrow or the day after!

FoxMulder · 28/06/2013 09:23

Oh OK, thanks blueamber. The information leaflet gave me the impression it would just flash for 2 days then show a solid one. I've not had this much sex since I met DH 10 years ago! It's exhausting! Grin

sleepingdragon · 28/06/2013 10:08

Hi everyone, thought I would drop by to see how everyone is getting on. I ovulated earlier than usual this month, so getting near the end of my 2ww and will probably test on Sunday! I'm also pretending not to symptom spot. I have managed to remember to temp every morning, although I kept forgetting to record it at the beginning of the month, so feeling quite pleases with myself whatever happens! Its interesting reading how you are getting on with the opks- I have also been using a clearblue fertility monitor but find the results erratic.

lindamagoo · 28/06/2013 12:01

Just got a +ve opk, wonder if any of Mondays wee swimmers are still lingering, lol. Not be long now til some of you start testing, got my fingers tightly crossed for you all Smile

SkylerRose · 28/06/2013 12:40

Hey all hoping I can join too. Still new to all this stuff. But I'm 25 ttc #1 cycle 2 BFP due 18th July if my cycle stays same as past couple... I've always been irregular so very annoying! Trying the relaxed approach as DH and me work long hours so not always easy. Trying to DTD every 2/3 days. Fingers crossed for everyone Grin

Springbells · 28/06/2013 12:54

RIGHT! That's it, my patience is wearing out, poas tomorrow. Will only be 11dpo but haven't got past 8 before so just exciting to be able to poas before af shows!

Gilly here's hoping your smiley holds off, or that you can sneak off!

linda they could be lurking... If not, good luck with the driving lessons and the puppy! (Ooh, and what breed you thinking?)

lovelygreen · 28/06/2013 13:07

Afternoon all :)
springbells I've just ordered my tests off amazon on free delivery(3-5 days), that way I have to wait and go slightly less crazy!

Welcome aboard SkylerRose, plenty of seats left, grab a chocolate bourbon from the tin at the front Grin

seatfor5 · 28/06/2013 13:28

Linda wishing you luck this cycle x

I ran out of Clearblue dig so only managed 3 flashy smileys no firm, but I now have egg white cm so have def passed OV (by my cm I think it was last night) so would it be worth DTD again tonight? I Think DH may cry though lol! managed to DTD 3 days an 1 day pre ov so just wish DH's swimmers luck Grin

lindamagoo · 28/06/2013 13:36

Spring I think I want a wee pug or a British bulldog, something cute and small Smile

Springbells · 28/06/2013 14:27

linda so cute! If you're still popping in, would be lovely to see a pic!

lovely good plan! I have several ic looking at me at the moment.....

Passing round the pink shrimp, sherbet dib dabs and blue raspberry panda pops (although on second thoughts, god knows what was in those blue panda pops, probably not good for our healthy ttc lifestyles Grin )

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/06/2013 15:23

My cycle is up the spout again Hmm

Last cycle was 21 days. This cycle I got a peak fertility smiley on cd6 and my cm confirmed that I was fertile. Usual cycle length is 23-24 days. I'm now in cd25 and no af yet. Poas a couple of days go but bfn. I don't think I'm pg but if I'm not, then why is my leutal phase so long?! I def ov'd cd8-11 as I stopped getting fertile cm after cd 11.

I'm glad this cycle was longer but am tres confused by what is happening now. Last time I had a cycle longer than 24 days I had an early mc so I don't really want to poas again till mon when I'll be later than I ever have been.

armywag21 · 28/06/2013 19:08

Hiya can I join.. Got kicked off the June bus today after a horrible 40 day cycle!

Lavenderspink · 28/06/2013 19:58

Redbug · 28/06/2013 21:14

Hello everyone! We are back from holidays and I am something like 8DPO and cheerfully spotting imaginary symptoms on a daily basis. Today's PG symptom is heartburn/sicky feeling in throat. Which is obviously because I am pregnant, not because I have eaten like a complete pig for a fortnight...

apprenticemamma · 28/06/2013 21:15

Hi ladies after six months of trying and having almost decided to just give it a few more months and just pour all our love into ds and his 3 half sibs..we got a bfpGrin today. i think for us just chilling about it helped. Just wanted to share a little hope to those of you who are close to poas as I thought I was getting af and had brown spotting for a couple days right as af was due I was pretty convinced that it was the start of it. Even first test had superfaint line..Hope this helps anyone in similar boat. Wishing you much babydust x
