onelittlepiglet · 26/06/2013 11:37

Hello ladies, not been on much this week but have checked in a couple of times t see how you are all doing. I've been rally ill - terrible tummy upset for over a week now and no idea why. That and AF have made me miserable I'm afraid. I'm back to the doctors today for some test results to see if it is something I've eaten or something else....

To top it all off, SIL announced she is 13 weeks pg yesterday and whilst I'm happy for her of course, it made me upset in my delicate state. I'm being ridiculous I know but just feel so rubbish I have a feeling this month will be over before its begun because I'm not well. Ho hum...

gillywillywoo · 26/06/2013 12:05

Hi everyone!!

Just thought I'd check in.. Haven't been on here much lately... I feel like the more I'm on mumsnet, the more I'm thinking about conceiving and putting pressure on myself! So had a little break Smile

Approaching my fertile time so gearing up for lots of dtd Grin

Currently cd14 and using clearblue digi OPKs. No smiley face yet but don't usually ovulate around cd17-20 as my cycles are around 30-34 days.

Going away tomorrow til Sunday to stay with family. Hoping I don't get a smiley whilst we are away cos it will be a bit awkward dtd in my sisters house.. Thin walls... Blush

Hope everyone's doing well!!!!
Not long til July so looking forward to seeing some BFPs on here soon Smile
X

gillywillywoo · 26/06/2013 12:23

Ooh by the way, I think this was talked about already on this thread but is anyone doing SMEP on longer cycles? And if yes, what day do you start?

My cycles are 30-34 days so starting SMEP on cd8-10 seems too early really. We tried last month and by the time I got a positive OPK on cd20 we were absolutely exhausted!

Currently cd14 and haven't even dtd yet this cycle due to working weird shifts and not having a chance yet! Blush
I know I haven't ovulated yet though so not that bothered lol Grin haha.

Anyway, I think maybe we will start tonight...

SomeDizzyWhore1804 · 26/06/2013 12:36

Just want to say hey to everyone on the bus as I have been keeping off of this thread in an attempt not to fret or become obsessed.

So I am in the middle of the 2ww. Managed to dtd loads this month in a kind of SMEP way (although didn't bother with OPKs as used them for a couple of cycles and I was getting the smiley face exactly when I thought I was ovulating anyway so it seemed like a waste of money!)

I'm not holding out loads of hope as I have just this month been diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis (which can effect fertility) and have had a very bad attack around ov time, but you never know. Fingers crossed.

gillywillywoo · 26/06/2013 13:31

Hey somedizzy! Same as me then Smile
Sometimes you just need a break from talking about ttc every day! Definitely feeling more chilled out this month as I've decided to take a break from temping and charting my bbt and also little break from mumsnet chat! Love you all but talking about trying for a baby every day was making me go a bit crazy! Grin

lindamagoo · 26/06/2013 16:07

The doctor said she doesn't think I have much to worry about, she's referring me to hospital for a check up though but will probably only need a wee bit physio to strengthen the muscles around the uterus so we can carry on with the baby making Grin but still no positive opk yet Hmm

DisneyDiva87 · 26/06/2013 16:21

That's good news Londa!

I was going to suggest standing on your head to make it flop back to where it should be Hmm. Which makes me think, make sure you're all doing your pelvic floor exercises ladies to prevent prolapse (and 'leakage'). Stopping yourself mid flow is a good one you can do it while you POAS too Grin

Nice to see you again Gilly I've been thinking about limiting my time on here too. Maybe during the 2ww though cause it just drove me mad last month.

LittleMachine · 26/06/2013 17:02

Linda I started to post before and forgot to finish. I have a uterus prolapse (and a bladder prolapse - giving birth is a joy!)
I saw a gynaecologist about 10 weeks post partum and he said it shouldn't impact on future pregnancies. It doesn't affect me day to day but I can tell it's lower than it should be.

LittleMachine · 26/06/2013 17:03

Gilly! Who will organise our lists?! Grin

panicmechanic · 26/06/2013 17:11

Hello pls can I jump on! Cycle 8 ttc no.2 bfp 17th July

Good luck all x

lindamagoo · 26/06/2013 17:27

Yes ladies listen to Dosney, do your pelvic floor exercises, I did them for a little while after ds #1 then just forgot about it, regret that now though Hmm

Little I never realised how common the condition was, loads of women have it after childbirth and as they get older and they don't even know they have it

LittleMachine · 26/06/2013 17:37

I did do my pelvic floor exercises. But DS had a giant head and I was pushing for over 3.5 hours. My pelvic floor had no chance!

lindamagoo · 26/06/2013 17:47

Oh ouch little, I can only imagine that pushing Hmm I was in labour for almost 48 hrs but the pushing part was quick

Beccadugs · 26/06/2013 17:49

Great new Linda!

Welcome back gilly! We missed you! My cycles are about 36 days, and we a SMEPing! We start on about day 14/15 and I ovulate about day 22. Hasn't worked yet, but this is only cycle three of trying (1 of properly SMEPing)

Which reminds me, could someone alter the list for me? (I am useless) as it says cycle 1 but its actually three!

LittleMachine · 26/06/2013 17:56

48 hours yikes that beats me at a mere 39!

lindamagoo · 26/06/2013 19:02

ds #2 was an emergency section and if we have a 3rd I'd defo go for the section, couldn't go through the long labour again Hmm

gillywillywoo · 26/06/2013 20:03

I'm still lurking and doing the list! Grin
Just not posting as much... Otherwise my head is constantly full of baby thoughts!

omama · 26/06/2013 20:10

Hey ladies can i sit quietly at the front for a while? Brought Brew & [biscuits]

Just had mmc at 11 wks & while I feel v sad about what's happened, I think I want to start ttc again asap. Took 15 cycles last time so I fear we may be in for another long ride on this bus & don't want to waste any more time waiting.

I don't know when to expect af after mc so can't really add myself to the list just yet. Probably at end of july I guess. So I'll lurk for now.

Good luck everyone

LittleMachine · 26/06/2013 20:18

Omama I'm so sorry I was so pleased for you when you found out you were pregnant Sad

Lots of love to you.

lindamagoo · 26/06/2013 20:35

omama I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope your ok and that things go better for you this time round Thanks x

seatfor5 · 26/06/2013 21:31

Omama so sorry to hear that x

BartBaby · 26/06/2013 22:12

Good news there linda finally google was actually useful for something making you feel a bit better about it rather than it sending us crazy like it normally does Grin

omama im sorry you are back on the bus again Flowers i hope you are doing ok.

Welcome mechanic Smile

8dpo for me and ive had to take my bra off tonight it was so tight and uncomfortable! Blush also getting some wierd cramps/twinges in my lower abdomen. A bit like a tightening. Not constant pain or anything but i can feel it. And it hurts more if i breath in (like the sucking in you do when you want to look thinner) normally spend a lot of my time infront of dh and other people doing this (not just normal breathing) ive not had this the last 2 months. Anyone else get this sort of thing before af? trying so hard and failing miserably not to get hopes up
