hi i am new here and would greatly appreciate some advice re ovulation

I am 32 last Novemember found out I was pregnant, always had a feeling that did not always ovulate because although not trying we werent using contraception for a long time - anyway must have that month, unfortunately MC at 9 weeks end of December.
I had AF January and February which I didn't pay too much attention to interms of cycle got AF March exactly two wks later EWCM (which I hardly ever get) but very noticable then 2 wks later AF, so I thought regular cycle and EWCM so must be ovulating. I decided to use OPK for next cycle April and start trying again to get PG got to day 19 no positive OPK but EWCM then next morning got AF. So now using the OPK again on day 11 and fertility monitor this morning is showing high fertility just really worried that I wont get peak fertility and no sign of changes in CM have gut feeling don't ovulate but not sure why. Sorry if this is all a bit jumbled. Also in the last 18months this is the 3rd time very short cycle does anyone know why that happens.
any advice greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear it's not going so smoothly for you.

It may be that you have low progeterone levels, or your body is just taking it's time to recover frm the M/C, but I'm not a doctor.

I really think you should go and see your GP about all this. They'll be able to run blood-tests and check all your hormone levels, and if necessary prescribe a fertility drug (loads of women on MN are on Clomid, which helps women to ovulate).

Either way, your GP surgery is the place to go for solid advice.

hi i have blood tests which say am not ovulating, but i too have regular periods and are shot i go from day 22 to 28, they have said when you not ovulating your body just as a bleed when it thinks its ready. i am now on first month of clomid, and i got a surge on day 17 and 18 but still not ovulated as i do temp and it as not rose.

I would agree with Hopecat's answer to you - do seek medical advice from your GP and have a blood test done. If however, a blood test is done the doc must compare the LH level tested against that of your FSH. If this is not done then the result has not been read properly. LH (luteinising hormone) and FSH (follicle stimulation hormone) are two hormones that play an important role in the ovulation process. If these two are out of sync then non ovulation can occur.

Irregular ovulation is sometimes caused by hormonal problems which can be treated (a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit). Clomid can be prescribed but the best person to give you that would be a gynae as you should be monitored whilst on it.

You need a diagnosis first and foremost.
