Love - I'm attempting bbt through the medium of a £4 thermometer off ebay.
Im doing this because apparently poas every morning using my cbfm isnt enough!

Anyway what ive read says do it first thing when you wake up before you get up. I'll let you all know whether its rubbish.

Thank you for the replies ladies. Will try out the calculator thing on here for both a shorter or longer cycle. We have been DTD every other day since Cd10 and plan to continue that. Totally get how you weren't in the mood after Af I did have to give myself a good talking to about getting on with it again! Going to try to avoid using Opk' for now as already too easy to let ttc totally take over my life but will bear it in mind for the future. I'm feeling positive though ladies, I think May is the month for lots of BFP's!

this month I'm going to try and not get obsessed with TTC, just enjoy ourselves DP doesn't get back from Hong Kong til 21st and is then on 3 nights (work) so will have to try and squeeze in some daytime dtd ha ha. So unfair that some people get up the duff by accident!!!

Hello ladies I'm back if that's ok. Have had a mumsnet break for a couple of weeks just to sort my head out & also had a little holiday which was nice. Am feeling soooo much happier than I was a couple of weeks ago. Don't quite know how but have finally stopped stressing over ttc. Have got rid of all opks & am not worrying at all about what day in month it is. Am just getting on with my life & enjoying each day as it comes & if I get my bfp that will be amazing but if I don't its onto next month. Couldn't go on like I was timing sex all the time. It just wasn't fun anymore & it was seriously all I thought about. So am happy to be back on the bus with you all :) can I be added to list plz.

Hello ladies! Im in a bit of a mood!! Af was a monster! Guess its my first 'proper' AF in over 9 years ... Have either been on the pill or witha coil or pregnant since then. Also, annoyingly, fil was here when my Tesco shop came and he saw my three months supply of 'mum to be' folic acid and he commented! Ttc supposed to be a secret! All our family think we are finished as our youngest is 6. Grr. No ones fault just one of those things! Anyway,doesn't time go so slow when you are waiting on something?? Am on cd6... ttc I'm on cd6 too.... when you going to start going for it? I'm panicking slightly worried because dp isn't back from abroad til Sunday night, then is on 3 night shifts, and I'm on days, and trying to fit any dtd in is going to be a 'challenge'!!

Hmmm, not looking good for me on this bus as according to cbfm no ovulation so far!
Been 8 months now and twice don't think I ov'd. Would the gp refuse to hear me out?

Second time TTC (first time a few years ago with my now ex-husband, but never conceived in the 8 or so months we tried) and have been lurking around for a while but after my clear craziness during the last cycle I think I need some of you lovely people to talk/vent/moan to and give my DP a rest!

Negative opk but lots of ewcm. Can you get ewcm without actually ovulating??

Fuls EWCM can appear a few days in advance of ovulation. I'd treat as a sign to start testing, if using OPKs. It's ususally a sign that ovulation is imminent.
