Evap line expert pls (or someone to slap sense into me!)

Ok.......never say never!!
Haven't had a period for 6 months, 43 yo & hormones caput BUT gynae says to keep trying, be aware of fertility symptoms & act on them as my fertility will come & go so...... I do usually to no avail.
However, convinced a couple of weeks ago my body is back on track (who knows) & now have slightly sore boobs, sore tummy, usual signs that could be af or baby or nothing, who knows!
Tested with cheapy - very very faint line (coloured) but out of time (30 mins?).
2 times Boots Early detection (not digital) one very faint coloured line just out of time & one extremely faint thin line also just out of time.
Splashed out (! literally!) on a Tesco digital which says "not pregnant" but on immediately removing stick, I can clearly see a faint blue line, within time (2/3 mins)
I know only time will tell.
Tbh even if it is a chemical, I will receive lots & lots of hope from it.
Any comments anyone? Thanks for reading, I know it's a mess & I do know the answer really (sigh)

BUT, after 2 yrs and some losses, I conceived at 43 and my little gorgeous dd is 2 on monday. It's not over till it's over. Good luck.

If the faint line you saw on the Boots test were coloured then I would take that as a +ive. Wait a 2-3 days and test again and the line should be stronger if it is a true bfp.

The digital test aren't usually as sensitive as the traditional early response tests so that may be why it wasn't picking it up. Don't try to read the lines on the digital tests because you can't tell (or at least they advise you not to) from the lines whether you are pregnant or not.

Oh this must be messing with your head! I would suggest you pick up a couple of the more sensitive tests - first response early response and superdrug's early tests are both good. Test with first morning urine. Set a timer and check the test at the end of the timer! I really hope it's good news for you

Oh thanks for your replies. Having researched the digital tests, the lines there mean nothing (you usually get 2 lines apparently) but the Boots ones are definitely blue & definitely there.
I have just bought a 2 pack of Superdrug tests & will cross everything till tomorrow morning.

Thanks. Might have to invest! I never thought this would be me! I mean one way or another I'll find out soon anyway but if it is, I'd like to have the happiness even for a little while.

Is it your first you're ttc?

No, have a 13yo son conceived very easily a long time ago (well 14 years!). Lots of physical trauma after he was born (pph, poss depression, general hard time) put us off trying for a long time. Then had several m/cs, lots of tests & all was ok then suddenly all was not ok & my hormones all over the place but now & then fall back in line.....(tmi sorry)

Well a no to a normal person looking with normal eyes in normal light. Straight away there was a shadow line but it didn't get any darker and I had to squint and hold to the light to see so I guess it "the line that's always there".
Does seem funny that virtually every test I've done (out of quite a few) has some kind of vague line. I guess if you obsess enough, they all do.

Have you tried clear blue digital yet? Don't want to give you false hopes but I was still getting neg on some line ones when that was saying pregnant.

Or aren't the first response pink ones supposed to be a) sensitive and b) less chance of evap lines than with blue dye?

Erm, not trying to get your hopes up earlier but I TTC'd for a long time and pee'd on many, many sticks (seriously, must be about 100!). I had two dodgy tests (Boots), one suspected chemical and one evap line in that time. The only time I ever had a faint is there a line there? query, I was in fact pregnant.

Have you considered uploading pictures to this website then other people will give you there opinion and you can send us a link to your pic too?!

Well I did the First Response & the Clear Blue Digital this morning & both are definite negatives.
(TMI alert - had a quick furtle (!) & my cervix which was high & hard is low & mushy). Hopefully this means an AF is on its way bringing with it a bit more hope. Possibly a chemical, reading back what I've written, I think there were too many "possible" lines for it to be nothing.
