cup your friend sounds lovely. just what you need a girls afternoon. brooking that you will start this cycle too.
I proper luff creme egg mcflurries, not sure i can give them up. I mean I have never heard of anyone getting poorly from a mcflurryConfused

BlindKitty · 28/04/2013 17:06

solars how were the newborn snuggles? I seem to be absolutely cool about babies, its the 'pregnancy' thing that upsets me for some reason

has anyone seen the amh result thread?

ControlGeek · 29/04/2013 10:49

solars hope you had lovely newborn snuggles :)

keep well done on getting DH back. That's a long time to wait for interview results though. Brooking he gets it. Good luck with your scan, the weeks have flown by, it seems - though it probably doesn't feel like it for you!

sweetie glad the not drinking wasn't an issue. There are lots of reasons why people can't drink or choose not to on a night out, I hate that everyone jumps to the pg conclusion (even though in your case it's the right one Wink) Black pudding scotch eggs sound amazing!

aww cups that's so lovely of your friend. Brooking like crazy that you get accepted on your next cycle. Even knowing that they won't refuse you on your third, it's still a horrible up and down ride they put you through.

boo is today the day?????

Well, I got my scan date - 2pm this Thursday! I should find out there and then whether the operation was a success in terms of location/accessibility of my ovaries. Providing it was, I should be good to go on my next cycle which I'm hoping will be around 18-20 May. Wow. How fast things move when you finally get going Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 29/04/2013 11:00

Ooh Geek this Thursday? That's brilliant GrinGrin I am going to brook now for your ovies, I may be a little busy on Thursday Wink Today is the day, well specifically tonight is the night, I'm booked on to the delivery suite at 8pm (I don't know why so late either) and I am absolutely petrified right now

Can't believe you can be starting your first cycle so soon :) I'm brooking with everything I have that you do start it in May.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/04/2013 11:24

boo good luck for this evening, I hope booby arrives with a sneeze and no pain

geek fab news about the scan this week, so if everything goes well we'll be stimming together - I'll start around 21st May

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/04/2013 11:27

Oh and sweetie was it today that you tell teh clinic your fabulous result?

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 29/04/2013 11:58

boo lovely, you'd best go back to bed for a snooze if your induction's at 8pm - you are likely to have a very busy night ahead of you! Brooking that all goes swimmingly and you have a fabulous sneeze birth (or enssze birth as I just tried to type!)

beedle oooh yay!! Definitely brooking to start around then in that case. It would be fab to have a cycle buddy. I've never had a cycle buddy for anything before, because mine were so long! How are you finding the downregging?

sweetie yes, can't wait to hear what your next steps are once you've told your clinic.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/04/2013 12:17

geek downregging starts tomorrow, though I'll probably put the nasal spray together tonight, as I don't fancy trying to do that first thing in the morning (not sure why they don't come ready to use?) Lucky tomorrow is a half day and Wed is a bank holiday so I won't have to do any sniffing at work until Thurs when I shall hopefully be an expert at it.

and I agree it would be fab to have a cycle buddy

Solars · 29/04/2013 12:18

Everybody, new born snuggles were indeed adorable and twice she fell asleep in my arms until she was ready for a feed upon which she scrunched up her face and wailed!! She was also very comfortable with DH Just made us want one even more!!

Geek well done on getting your appointment on Thursday, brooking all will be well ovaries wise.

Good luck with sniffing tomorrow Beedle

Good luck to sneezing tonight Boo

Good luck to scanning tomorrow Keep I too can't believe you have to wait a month to hear about the job. Is your DH applying for more in the meantime?

Kitty I didn't see that thread but is it to do with low amh? We have our own brooking miracles in that department with Smegs right?

Sweetie what's this about no whippy ice cream? [wail] really? Will you get booked in for an early scan? further blood tests today?

Cups your friend sounds adorable

I ovulated at the weekend so have my final blood test on Thursday at the clinic.

SweetieTime · 29/04/2013 14:13

Geek great news on the scan, you will be starting before you know it

Solars I am not sure I believe there is anything bad about a McFlurry Shock I don't have many, but they are my guilty pleasure. I am sure I will be ok for the odd one, but I might wait until I am a bit further along just in case.

Beedle good luck with the down regging, drink plenty of water and eat loads of protein for good quality eggs. I am not sure how I would feel about sniffing, think I would prefer to jab.

boo are you still bouncing? Hope today isn't dragging for you my dear. 8pm will be here before you know it, shortly followed by booby Wink

I have rung the clinic and told them the news, they have booked me for a scan when I am exactly 7 weeks. I am excited and nervous about it already I just hope there is something for them to see They said to wait for the scan before contacting my GP. Also keep I was really brave only cos it was over the phone and asked about SFF [blus]BlushBlush She said it is ok but take it steady and it is normal to get a bit of spotting afterwards as the cervix is more delicate now.

keepitgoing · 29/04/2013 15:41

geek that's brill - Thursday! :)

solars did you sneak in some swi at the weekend?

I think MCD flurry is prob OK, it's more the dodgy ice cream vans that don't clean their Mr whippy pipes. But nothing says it's OK for preggos, just consult your doctor. Anthisan, ffs...

No solars there are no other jobs to apply for. :( It's done in big national recruitment rounds. There's meant to be a second one but I can't see why they won't fill the pitifully few jobs this round. A month is the latest, so I'm brooking for asap.

BlindKitty · 29/04/2013 18:23

geek will be thinking of you thursday

sweetie so excited for for 7 week scan

Suppose I should start packing for my hol but I'm just sat here chatting away on mn!!!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 29/04/2013 20:46

Just a quickie re mcflurries, listeria can be v serious, and having worked in that industry in my youth, the machines at McDonald's and Burger King do not get washed as often as they should be, as they are a pain to take apart and reassemble and lubricate. I never risked it in my pregnancies, nor rare steak, nor dippy eggs.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 29/04/2013 20:48

Nor the McDonald's/burger king milk shakes....

BlindKitty · 29/04/2013 20:52

omg really? i knew about not having it from icecream vans but wouldn't have thought that burger kings and macdonalds!

SweetieTime · 29/04/2013 20:55

omg loopy Shock Sad I really will have to avoid them Sad

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 29/04/2013 20:59

I really wouldn't risk it sweetie, if you look at the nhs website, it says 22% chance of miscarriage if get listeriosis in pregnancy. Can also get it from pre packed sarnies and other things listed on there. I know it's slim chances of getting it, but I know I'd have never forgiven myself, and I didn't have to go through what you did to get pregnant. You can treat yourself to plenty after your babies arrive ;)

SweetieTime · 29/04/2013 21:20

I didn't realise it was so serious or carries such risk. I will check out the nhs web site too

BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/04/2013 05:37

Thanks for the info loopy I would have also assumed that macdonalds would be safer than an ice cream van.

Yippee for the 7 wk scan sweetie

1st lot of sniffing done. W got a copy of one of our forms back yesterday, MrB had to sign to allow an egg fertilized with his sperm to be placed in my body. They have sent us a copy as he has the right to retract his consent at any time Shock

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 30/04/2013 09:08

Well, not once it's in you, mwah ha ha

Well done on starting. Woo hoo! Was it OK? Weird to sniff, did you feel like a druggie? I did with all my needles.

Scan this morning was fab, baby was dancing for us. Nothing now till 13+1, in 3.5 weeks, Argh!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/04/2013 09:39

Awww how cute keep is it recognisably baby-like now?

I think I might feel like a druggie when I start injecting , but this just seems like hayfever medicine or something. No side effects yet (might be a bit early for that though) :o

The form was also for him to accept paternity of any eventual baby, which I can understand if he had needed to tick the other options which were for donated sperm/eggs and also covered lesbian relationships. But it seemed a bit strange for us using our own eggs and sperm, surely there's even less question of who is the father compared with a "normal" couple where the woman could have shagged anyone Shock (not that I'm suggesting that would apply to any of the brookers) Shock

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 30/04/2013 09:45

Yep, you can see arms, tiny legs, big head.

You won't be getting any unwanted side effects beedle, and that's that.

ControlGeek · 30/04/2013 11:16

awww keep that's so luffly!!! I can't believe it starts to look all baby-shaped so early on. Well done you Grin

beedle well done on starting your sniffing, long may the side effects stay away.

Any news on boo yet? I can't check the grads fred while I'm at work Sad

I am just stunned about the MrWhippies. I thought I was pretty up on what to eat/not eat, but had never heard that one before!

So far, the lowest dose of metformin hasn't really thrown up any side effects other than increased flatulence Blush so I'll be upping it to two tablets a day at the end of the week.

We have planned a day down in London tomorrow, spending our time there in our favourite pub with plenty to eat and drink. Unfortunately, my drinks will now be tomato juice or sparkling water while MrG gets bladdered merry Hmm

keepitgoing · 30/04/2013 11:42

Nope, no booby yet

Solars · 30/04/2013 14:54

Thanks Loopy for the info, I only ever occasionally had the ice cream van whippy ice creams but will steer well clear of them whether or not I do get pg now!

Keep great scan news, how sweet that he/she was dancing. Are you going to find out the sex when the time comes or will it be a surprise? Yes we did sneak in some swi at the weekend Wink and beforehand, thankfully the sex fail on Thursday morning didn't become an issue

Yay on no side effects Beedle & Geek! If the suns out like it is today you're going to have a lovely day in London tmrw.

Sweetie looking forward to hearing about your first scan.
