I'm baaack

I apologise in advance, this is going to be a mememe post because I just need to get this down in writing so I don't forget it all.
No physical exam, but from talking to me and hearing about my new cycle lengths the cons is happy that the op was a success. To confirm it, he wants me in for a scan asap, but only on a Thursday because that's when his NHS day is. I have to ring up first thing Monday morning to get an appointment for the first available Thursday, hopefully this Thursday but if not then the week before. It has to be before AF arrives.
Providing the scan shows that my ovaries are in the right place for egg collection, and that all is well with the world, he then wants me going straight onto short protocol starting from my next cycle!!!
He has said that the op he performed, he would expect 70% of his patients to get pg naturally shortly afterwards so MrG and I are to keep on trying despite the male factor issues.
I asked if there was anything we could do to help be in top condition and he has prescribed me metformin, which I'm a bit concerned about. MrG took it for a few weeks for his diabetes, and had awful side effects. Apparently, it will help my PCOS, help to maintain regular cycles and will improve the quality of my eggs. It means no alcohol whatsoever though that is probably a good thing in itself. He also recommended daily doses of 1g of vitamin C, and Vitamin E, for MrG to improve his sperm. I now feel vindicated over my nutty thorough internet research, as I have had him on this for about 6 months now in addition to the Wellman Conception.
So, ladies, this is it! Please brook for an early scan appointment so that I can join the ranks of assisted brookers on my next cycle
