Clearblue ovulation monitor

Anyone tried the above?

We have been TTC DC2 for over a year now and I am getting desperate as I am 37 this year. It took three years for us to conceive DS and I'm aware time is not on my side.

Am thinking about getting one of these but a bit worried about the price. Reviews seem good but you never know, do you?

I tried for over a year then bought a clearblue fertility monitor from Amazon.

Fell pregnant with DD 1st month I used it.

I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with DS. Used the monitor again and got pregnant 2nd month

So I'd definitely say it was worth the money for me.

I would pay a visit to the GP now rather than pay for something like a monitor particularly as it took you 3 years to conceive your first child.

Did you receive fertility treatment to conceive your first child?.

What are your periods like generally, if they are irregular in nature this is often due to hormonal imbalances. Also if your periods are irregular then such a monitor would be pointless to use.

Have you tried using cheapie ovulation tests yet? You can get them from Amazon, and they work really well. I used them and charted my basal body temperature and fell pg within 2 months of doing that.
Might be worth trying before shelling out on the CBFM...

I've never used anything in the past, just gone by chance, and roughly working out fertile days. I stumbled across the monitor really, having a bit of a google.

DH works away a fair bit, at least a few days most weeks, which I think is mainly why we took so long to conceive the first time round. I just thought a bit of help might hurry things along, assuming he is home on those all important days.

I am not sure when I ovulated this month, sometime over the weekend i suspect for my dates, but currently have niggly cramps which got me thinking about implantation, hence this post.

I was like that with our first - didn't really pay any attention to my cycles at first, took 8 months. Second time round, as mentioned above, with temping and OPKs, 2 months.
I can highly recommend the Fertility Friend website, should you decide to chart - very useful.
I'd say save the money for now and try the cheaper options...
