Advise Needed

Hello
I have just found out ( yesterday ) that i am pregnant.

I am generally happy however, i need some advise regarding when i was likley to have consived.

Here are the facts ( please dont judge me i know i should have been more careful)

I had my last period around November 17th 2012, I know this as it was my friends wedding. ( Im irregular usually 40+ than the usual 28 day as my previous perious was around the begining of september 2012)

I had intercourse on 10th december with (A) which didnt ejeculate inside me
I had intercourse on 18th december and 25th with (B) who did ejaculate inside me.

I took two negative testes on 20th dec and 28th dec.

I dont know how far along i am as im waiting on a scan.... im hoping it is (B) baby otherwise im going to be in such a pickle

digerd you don't ov halfway through your cycle. It is usually 12-16 days before your next period, so on a 40 day cycle, this would be around day 26 (as an average). If the OP's cycle is usually longer than 40 days (she mentions 40+) then it would be sometime after day 26.

I hope it all works out for you, OP. I reckon that because of your cycle length and the fact that you think your period was due mid-Jan, it's most likely B.

I was amazed to see a DNA test in which conception happened one day before her period was due. And non-identical twins fathered by 2 different men.
Just hope OP gets the answer she wants .

I will update you tomorrow with the first scan results
Ive been lookim at pictures of peoplea scans at diff weeks along... im hoping my little bean is week 5 -6 as week 7-8 you can see its more baby like rather than a little dot

Im gonna have a bath and try get some sleep now

Had two scans today
The first one was the external scan she told me 6weeks 4 days

Then she told me on the internal scan 7 weeks 6days

With this information when am i likely to have consieved roughly??

If the scan result of the internal is 7weeks and 6 days, counting backwards - if my maths is correct- you conceived on 4th/5th Dec.
You just count back on a calander. 55 days.
But you say that cannot be correct as did not happen until 10th.
You said you will have another scan this Friday with midwife, then wait for that one. Ask her to do the calculations - but be aware these scan predictions are not absolute.
The external scan estimation of 6weeks and 4 days =46 days =13th/14th Dec conception.
Don't panic - wait for the Friday scan

I need to know what she meant by 7 weeks 6 days

If she meant i consieved that long ago it cant be B

But if its the opppsite its gotta ba B

I assume it is the age of the baby meaning from the time it was conceived.
If you are seeing your midwife on Friday ask her for confirmation that the weeks and the days estimated_means from the time of conception or is it estimated from a few days after. They do know the average time it takes from the fertilising of the egg ( conceiving) to the stage in its development it is now. But the scans may not be chrystal clear and the position of baby can make it more difficult. And is still very small.
Are you having another scan on Friday?

Someone just said this to me.
o if for example you are 7 weeks 6 days you would have conceived on or around the 19th of December, making partner B more likely. Sperm can live for a couple of days inside you so having sex with him on the 18th means you could well have conceived on the 19th and if you are 6weeks and 4 days you would have conceived around the 28th which again shows that it's likely to be partner B.

Ninka, I would say that advice with dates pointing to B sounds about right, as the way I understand it all dating of pregnancy includes 2 weeks (usually from start of period to conception) where you aren't really pregnant yet! so if u take those weeks off u get conception dates that match B!

I thought midwives gave age rates that were effectively two weeks longer than conception because they calculate them based on the last period of an average cycle. If this is the case, this would mean that for a 7+6 foetus, it is actually 5+6 "old", which makes the "deposit" on the 18th December the most likely to have led to conception, imo.

Just been looking at scans on Google and it said the weeks given are 2 weeks ahead , so a given age of 7 = in reality 5 weeks - yipee.
And the internal scan for early pregnancies show more detail than the external.
Good news I think.

*UPDATE**

Date of last period - November 17th 2012 ( I am irregular usually have one period every 2 months roughly)

I had sex on the 9th December (man A) he didn't ejaculate inside me
I had sex on the 18th December ( man B ) he did ejaculate inside me
I had sex on the 26th December (man B ) he did ejaculate inside me

I had taken a pregnancy test on the 28th December which came back negative.
I had taken a further test on the 25th January which came back positive

I had 2 scans on 29th January at abortion clinic
The internal scan dated me at 7 weeks 1 day
The external scan dated me at 6 weeks 4 days
Which worked out to be a due date of the 17th September 2013

I have since been to the hospital on the 5th march and had a scan which changed my due date to the 14th September 2013

I've used calculators and they all say date of conseption was around 22nd December?

Congratulations!

I think it's B. sperm can live for a few days so sex on 18th could well result in conception on 22nd.
