Hi, I wondered if anyone could give me feedback on whether they've had much success on clomid. I have pcos and am on metformin, my gyny has put me on clomid, 50mg days 2-6 (I'm now on cd 12 and using opk twice a day). Firstly has anyone had success like this and secondly I'm a little worried as my gyny isn't giving me a follicle scan or anything, just said have a progesterone blood test day 21. Alot of my friends had scans and injections and I'm worried my gyny isn't being thorough..any advice would be great pls.

Also if this month doesn't work should I see a specialist before going up to 100mg a day (as doc said that's the next move)...so I have a scan etc on thst round??

Hi

I had a shock diagnosis of pcos in 2008. I tried clomid which didn't work for me but then did hair analysis and vitamin supplements through foresight preconception and conceived after two months on the program. Might be worth a try in conjunction with the clomid?

Xx

I get my test results today but now all I'm worried about are his results, he has another test Friday. How are you doing?

i don't blame you. I'm feeling the same, probably as I'd put so much on clomid working. Think maybe this month I have further to fall as actually thought Id get pregnant once I started clomid. I am worried about DHs morphology (was 3%) although the doc said its nothing to worry about x

I have three kids from clomid, highest dose was 200mg. I know high but I was on it for two months and got pregnant!! I was gradually moved up also. Don't be scared to increase the dose, some people need more than others! Good luck!!!

tjtownend · 23/04/2014 16:22

Soph80 it's not unusual for clomid to make your cycle longer.

tjtownend · 23/04/2014 16:24

Sorry didnt read your other posts your probably realized that!! :)

I also have PCOS and I’m starting taking my first clomid pill tomorrow. Good luck to us all. I actually am praying for twins. Hehehe

I have PCOS. I took first round of Clomid days 2-6 of cycle at the start of October and fell pregnant .. unfortunately miscarried at 7 weeks.

My fertility specialist hasn’t advised me to take Metformin at any point on our TTC journey, but today I’ve found sources on Dr. Google that say it can reduce the risk of miscarriage in women with PCOS. If this is the case, I’m surprised it’s not automatically prescribed.

Has anyone been prescribed Metformin for this reason? It’s something I definitely want to discuss with my specialist!

Hi!

I completely understand how challenging a PCOS diagnosis can be. I also took Clomid, and it really worked for me when I was trying to conceive. It’s definitely worth considering if you haven’t tried it yet. In my experience, combining Clomid with a healthy lifestyle, including proper supplements, really made a difference. I actually ordered mine from a trusted source (^delivery-service24.com/buy-clomid-uk.html^), and it arrived safely.

Also, your idea of combining Clomid with vitamin supplements is a great one! I’ve heard of many women having success with that approach. It’s always a good idea to support your body in every way you can. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Xx
