I ordered a bbt thermometer and a mooncup today. If I don't get a bfp this month, I'm going to look into evening primrose oil for the next cycle. I am getting obsessed Hmm

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 16:50

Ahh one I am so sorry to hear that! Hope you're holding up ok. Let's share a Wine and some Biscuit

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 22/01/2013 17:01

motherofcleo I had a good cry on Sunday night, and glasses of Wine. I'm ok now. I think it helps that I've only tested positive for just over a week. You start planning around the news, and then the dream was shattered. In one week, I have filled in the midwife booking in pack, looked at doulas, started thinking about names, took a box of maternity clothes down the loft, browsed at baby soft toys. I think the blow would have been harder if I have time to do more.

Sadly I slipped it to my mum on Saturday. I must have sounded different on the phone and she asked directly if I was pregnant. And then on Sunday I had the mc. I will need to break the news to her this weekend Sad

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 18:28

ahh one still sucks, no matter how early. They do say its meant to increase your fertility the following month so FX you get a sticky one next month.

lyndsey90 · 22/01/2013 18:41

Oo might have jumped the gun posting earlier, only had 1 pink smear today (tmi bleh) nothing since though. Not gonna test for few days tho. I have patience pahaha. Something I never thought I'd say.

mother how're you? x

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 22/01/2013 19:02

Onelittle I know we haven't 'met' before, but I just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear of your loss. Miscarriage is shit.

As soon as you get positive result, your head and heart naturally start adjusting to the news, however hard you may try not to think too far ahead.

I hope you are getting lots of real life support and are being kind to yourself. It's great you are feeling 'ok' but please don't put any pressure on yourself and it's completely normal to have some bleak pissed off days too.

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 22/01/2013 19:02

lyndsey not sure when your AF is due on the list. But implantation bleeding occurs at early pregnancy, about the same time as AF is due. So don't assume it's AF coming if you are spotting.

lyndsey90 · 22/01/2013 19:19

One Also sad to hear of your miscarriage :( ~hug~

My AF was due yesterday, i'm usually to the day too, and about the same time as normal. I'm kinda sat here thinking 'what if i'm pregnant' I think if I am, when I test BFP - Cause it'll be my first I'll be petrified for the first few weeks haha.

Do any of you use Tumblr? I have a TTC blog, and follow a lot of other TTCers.

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 22/01/2013 19:20

bridget you are right it's the loss of hope, no matter how hard you try to not think too far ahead. Rationally I know 1 in 5 pregnancies end in an mc. And most occurs in the first trimester. But we all like to think it won't be us. In a way it's just a continuation of the ttc angst. Every month, I can't help but feel this will be the month for me. I start imagining the pregnancy, the new baby etc. And most of the time, we get AF instead. That's why this whole ttc business is so hard

Going to have dinner now. I have also got lost in Austen on my sky+. I love pride and prejudice Grin.

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 20:11

Hi lyndsey FX this is your month! As one says pink spotting can be a good sign, its not over till its over. Im good thanks, trying unsuccessfully not to symptom spot. I havent really had anymore cramps, bit of brown spotting yesterday. Not much else though. How are you doing?

lyndsey90 · 22/01/2013 20:18

Mother I'm not too bad, got all gas fire on FULL trying to sweat out this cold. I actually successfully didn't symptom spot this month. Only had achey boobies for about 2 weeks prior to AF being due which seems to be normal for me.
Feel unbelievably run down, OH has caught my cold too >.< And as he is a man - Obviously he feels worse haha!

Ariel21 · 22/01/2013 20:22

onelittle So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Fingers crossed for next month.

AF has left me, (hurrah!) So can start TTC properly now! Exciting stuff. One question, how long do you leave it before you do a test, do you just wait for symptoms, or wait to see if AF turns up next month?

Sorry - despite having been sneaking around on mumsnet for ages, am a bit clueless!

CrackerJackShack · 23/01/2013 07:00

Sorry for your loss one, but welcome back on the bus and fingers crossed for you. :)

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 23/01/2013 07:50

ariel I test after AF is due. But it depends on the tests you are using. It will say how early can you test.

CrackerJackShack · 23/01/2013 11:54

Ok I'm just going to put this out there and see what you all think I should do.

Was due to get AF on the 9th of Jan, tested on the 12th and got a BFN, got it the 13th but it was REALLY light, I used a tampon for 2 days but I never got more than a bit of brown on the end, and stopped after 3 days and then just a bit of red when I wiped once or twice a day for the next two days. So all in all a bit of a period for 5 days. This is really unusal for me as I usually have fairly heavy periods.

I usually get really bloated before my periods (to the point that I've lost 5 lbs between the day before and the day I started my period) but this time I didn't get bloated until the day I started and I've been super bloated ever since. I'm also peeing up a storm and really teary and emotional.

Do you think it's worth doing a POAS? Or do you think I'm just being silly?

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 23/01/2013 11:56

Cracker you should really POAS again. Did you soak through a pad/tampon when you say you had a period? If not it's just spotting. Which could be implantation spotting. Tbh, I would test every 3 days once AF is due!

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 23/01/2013 11:57

Rereading it, it really sounded like you had spotting.

CrackerJackShack · 23/01/2013 12:02

No didn't even come close to bleeding through a tampon. Didn't even come close to bleeding through half a tampon. Ok. Going to go POAS. Wish me luck. :)

lyndsey90 · 23/01/2013 13:01

cracker you poas yet??

chocoloulou33 · 23/01/2013 13:13

Good luck cracker x

CrackerJackShack · 23/01/2013 13:35

BFP!!!!! Holy Crap :D

Funny story too.

Bought one at Boots but they only had these suspect looking cheapies so I did it in the mall bathroom and BFP. Figured I'd pick up a ClearBlue on the way home so I had a "decent" one to show DH. Went up to the toilet peed on it, but missed the bloody thing and only got about half of it. So I figured, I wonder if I dip it in the toilet water will it get a BFP, and it did. LOL.

DH is thrilled :D

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 23/01/2013 13:39

Oh Cracker that is amazing news! What brilliant timing too (no horrid wait until September ) I'm so pleased for you and your DH.

The first BFP on the thread too - let's hope more come rolling in...
