Any hope for Pregnancy of Unknown location

Did my pregnancy test yesterday after missing my period for 11 days. Clear blue test said 2/3 weeks pregnant. Husband & I were super excited but I had been having lower abdominal pains like cramps. Had read about ectopic pregnancies so after talkin to GP he said to go to EPC. After scan there was no evidence of of baby. Just wanted to find out if anyone has had similar experience & is there any hope. My husband & I are devastated :(

Sorry to hear you've had this worry thrown at you.
How pregnant do you think you are? If its around 6 weeks, there is a chance you are not as pregnant as you think, and baby will be there when you go back

What path are they following with you? Blood monitoring? or just another scan in a couple of weeks?

Hope everything is good. If it does end up as ectopic, there is a thread somewhere in pregnancy loss of girls supporting each other through. The ectopic pregnancy trust is also brill.

On the plus side, post ectopic, I have conceived two beautiful boys with no problems, so it isn't necessarily the end of the road.

Sorry to hear this.

I had a PUL many years ago, had blood levels monitored for a while and was then treated with methotrexate. A sad and difficult road I'm afraid. I found the Miscarriage Association and the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust brilliantly helpful - and I used the EPT forums quite a lot too.

I now have 2 beautiful DDs - conceived, carried and delivered with no issues at all.

Oh tigerKesha, I'm so very sorry to hear you are going through this. It is not something I have any direct experience of (although I have had bad news at a scan) but I couldn't just read and run.

Have the EPC asked you to come back for another scan in a week or so? Is there a chance that it is just too early to detect anything?

It must be an incredibly worrying time...fingers crossed for you.

Thanks everyone that's really kind of all of you. I've only just stopped feeling sorry for myself. A blood sample was taken today to check my hcg & progesterone levels & I will get results tomorrow & learn the follow up. Weirdly tonight am not feeling as much pain but maybe it's my false hope. Whatever happens am really glad for all your lovely messages.

I had an ectopic while TTC dd2. It was not a good time and I needed all the friends I could find. Hand holding here if you need it

I do appreciate the hand to hold. I know to be realistic & expect an EP or MC given the info on the forums & people who've had similar cases but Am 5weeks 5days so am kind of wishing/ praying for miracle. Will let you know if it gets better but if not your lovely success stories about next babies is hope enough.

Thats great. Sounds like your just a little earlier on that calculated.
Whats happening now? More bloods? or a scan in a week or 2?

tigerKesha hoping for good news for you on Tues - it may just be to early to tell. Have you been experiencing any bleeding? I naturally miscarried a suspected ectopic pregnancy in November at 6+5 and was devastated.

To give you some hope I've just found out I'm pg again. It's very early days and has happened so quickly and I'm petrified but hoping everything will work out this time.

Thanks pink pud & LCR77... Just did scan & found sac finallllly Grin am so happy but have to keep fx that it goes well from now on. Don't know how I'd have coped without your help coz I haven't told anyone in RL. Hope you are all gr8. ThanksThanks

waiting for midwife appt on Fri then hopefully getting early scan booked for next couple of weeks. going to be a very long wait!

Cheers all. 6w+2d Still got a long way to go but no other appointments till midwife & 12weeks scan. LCR good luck with all. I hear you re-long wait, same here. This is my 1st & I absolutely underestimated the whole pg process. DH & I hadn't planned this so we haven't read extensively or heard any previous experience. Good luck to everyone & hopefully all will go well Thanks
