Hi,

This is my first post and I'm therefore very new to all this! I've been on microgynon for about 10 years and my husband and I are are now trying for a baby. The gory detials... I took my last pill on 28th November and had my usual period a couple of days later. It's now a month later and I'm curious about when I'm likely to see my next period? I know 'everyone is different' but it's obviously a very exciting (and slightly nervous) time when you're trying to concieve. I understand that it can take my body quite some time to get back to noraml with a normal cycle but any opinon from someone in a similar positon or has been on the same pill would be very helpful.

Also, I've been 'bonking' my husband's brains out the last month and I'd like to know when I can start using the excuse of a headache once again! Ha Ha!

You're very fortunate having your own PT! I run a lot so I've just cut down the length and pace to keep my heart at a good rate and so I'm not jumping up and down too much!

I may give quinoa a go one day. I have three veggie cook books given to me for Christmas that I need to experiment with too!

It will be lovely when the day comes when someone asks if your pg and you can tell them yes! Smile Is this your first?

He's pretty cool! I can't do the running thing, I tried last year and was just so bored. I keep hearing it's great when you go outside but I can't - the impact is too much on my knee which ends up aching (ruptured my ACL a couple of years ago).

Oh nice! Let me know if you find any tasty recipes! I am clueless with recipes, especially if it is non Indian, I'm suddenly lost haha!

Yes definitely, I actually just wonder how I will manage to keep my mouth shut for 12 weeks! Yup, will be our first Smile how about you?

Ouch - sounds painful!

Will do! I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to cooking! Whenever I try something new it usually end up in the bin, or the dogs bowl! I was better when I ate meat!

Yeah, it will be our first also. Will you not tell anyone until the 12 weeks scan? I'll have to tell my family straight away, I know there is no way I'll be able to keep it secret for that long! Obviously work colleagues etc can wait 12 weeks though! I don't want my boss advertising my job too soon! lol.

It was, I ruptured it whilst skiing, will not be going skiing again!

Oh I am rubbish with cooking, my husband cooks and is so much better than me! Haha, when did you give up eating meat? Hubby eats meat, if I cook then he eats veggie stuff with me.

Ideally I'd like to keep it quiet, might end up telling my family! I remember when my bro and SIL were expecting and they told us with explicit instructions not to tell anyone until the 12 week scan, SIL's mum ended up telling everyone. My brother was not happy!

Hi bundles, Just Wondering if you have had any developments on AF (my apologies if you have updated-I think I read all posts but maybe missed one...). I have a very similar story to you-came off pill (cilest) in Nov, then withdrawal bleed from 29th Nov and nothing since. I guess you could say I'm on 37 of cycle. Getting myself very excited but know I shouldn't. DH away and don't want to test without him. Will be back next week. Excited!
P.s quinoa is yummy!

Hi, I have been TTC since sept.
This time I was on cerazette for two years. Previously been on microgynon and others - I've done the pill rounds over10 years or so!
Previously when I stopped I've either had AF straight away or within a month. This time it was 11 weeks! Cycle just finished was 32 days. Fingers crossed for regularity here on in.

I was on microgynon for 9 years, and stopped on 28/7/12 just before my wedding. Got my first real period 6 weeks later on 9/9/12. Since that had AF again on 30/10/12 then on 30/11/12. Still waiting for the next one. Thought it was regulating after the last one but seems not. So frustrating! Almost impossible to predict ovulation. Am considering Angus castus to try and regulate things.

I was on the pill for 10 years and took my last one 10th November 2012, had "normal" withdrawal bleed on 14th November. I convinced myself throughout December that I was preggers and was symptom spotting like mad, and took 3 tests, all with BFN. I finally got AF on 26th December, so I had a 38 day cycle. I was happy in a way, as I can start working our what is normal for me. I was dreading AF being as bad as it was before the pill, but it was fine, heavy on the first day but fine the rest of the time, only lasted 4 days which is good.
It does start to take over your life, after AF arrived I have been trying not to obsess so much about conceiving.........as I read the "trying to conceive" section of mumsnet!!

I was on microgynon for 10 years and got pregnant just after my withdrawal bleed (is that what it's called?). But I am extremely fertile, with DS2 I didn't even get a withdrawal bleed! Grin
