Hi can anyone help please

I have been using my monitor for 6 days I do not know when the last day of my period was as had iud removed and was super keen to start so bought a monitor!

Anyway
Test day 1 high
2 high
3 high
4 peak
5 peak
Today 6 high

But! I'm sure today should be peak looking at sticks!

The CBFM is programmed to give you a peak and then a high then a low after your first peak. I reuse the sane stick from the first peak to save sticks and money.

You usually OV on the second peak

If you've started using the monitor without waiting for the first day of your period, the CBFM is probably confused! It takes a few cycles to get to know your hormone levels, so the first few cycles will be very hit and miss.

It is very normal to experience several LH surges before you actually ovulate, but my understanding of the CBFM is that once you get a peak reading (3 bars) over 2-3 days, you will not get another one that cycle as the machine assumes you have ovulated and will soon stop asking you for sticks.

I couldn't wait for period! I have a complete lack of patients!!!!

I know this means the monitor may give false readings, but I thought you would be able to read sticks, maybe I should have just gone for the standard ovulation sticks! This new technology may be a step too far for me!

Didn't realise you started using it halfway through your cycle!

I have just bough one of these. My friend had one and she said you have to use them on the correct day of your cycle for it to work properly, she had a false peak on first month from not reading it properly and started mid cycle, the second month got a bfp. But from what I umderstand its the second day on peak is the ov day.

Ah well will have to wait and see! I started it as I haven't had a period for 3 years due to having coil. I know you should probably wait for this to come before starting but now being 35 I just thought I would crack on and try the monitor.
