In DH's family it seems to be boys all the way, and to add to it we've just had two boys in the past 2.5 yrs.

Is there any chance that we'll ever have a girl? I'm not exactly planning anymore, but it would be nice to be a baby girl if it were to happen all over again!

Also, will DH have passed his boy rearing genes on to our two DS's so they will go only only to make boys?

(Please don't shout at me about appreciating the baby whatever the sex, I know that, I'm just interested if anyone knows about chances of conceiving a girl or boy)

thanks for any answers!

50/50 in terms of its manufacture.

Men have an X chromasome and a Y chromasone. Each sperm has one or the other.....X sperms make a gitl, Ys made a boy, iit is a 50:50 split

How long it lasts in the female reproductive tract, how acid your vagina is, when you had sex re the time of ovulation, all of these have effects.

But men make the same amounts of male and female sperm

dargh... it must be my acid vagina! Shock

I know for a fact we did it on the day with DS1, I wasn't sure about DS2, he was a complete surprise! Shock

If you get pregnant from sex right on the day of ovulation, you are more likely to have a boy, as male sperm swims faster than female sperm. Female sperm are hardier, though - more likely to survive hanging around waiting for the egg.
