Mclairey what's a Frer?

OP posts:
Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:13

Sorry Pear it's a First Response Early Response. When I got my BFP I did a Superdrug test with fmu and got a faint line. Then I held my pee and did a FRER a couple of hours later and got a definite line.

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 15:16

Ooh...I go out and excitement!

Peardrop, your profile isn't public to look! :-/

Congrats Medusa!

You're all leaving me :-(

Talyra · 08/09/2012 15:25

Oooh missed all this! That's great. Good to know about the first response ones too.

Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:27

Ok Pear I can definitely see a line on the Superdrug one and on the bottom FRER. They are very faint which is consistent with 10dpo! I would get some more tests and do them with fmu tomorrow. But as far as I am concerned, a line is a line. You wouldnt get two evaps at the same time on different brands. By golly Pear hun, I think you might have your BFP without your AF (same as me!!!)

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 15:29

Wow! Looks promising to me :-) FMU tomorrow please!!

Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:30

Meant to say....whispering congrats.

You may wanna treat yourself to a cb digi to do on Tuesday morning before your docs appointment. Hopefully you will see it in writing!

Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:32

Hi Nic, do you think she has gone to Superdrug to buy up all their tests? :)

I did about 7 tests over 4 days with mine though so I completely understand!

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 15:34

I reckon she must have done! Will prove those people wrong who categorically told her she wasn't ovulating :-)

Little bit Envy Which is stupid. And unfair. :-(

peardrop2 · 08/09/2012 15:42

Nicola you know me so well! I went to Boots and got two CB digi. It says BFP 1-2 weeks!! I waited to tell DH when he got home. Obviously we're both in shock after all the recent drama!

Nicola hun I'm really sorry !! I know this news will make you very Envy but your only a week behind me hun so let it give you hope!

I should have known this would happen the week I buy Zita West book, bottle of rose and Agnus Cactus!

OP posts:
Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:42

Oh honey you will get your BFP soon I know it. I reckon either this cycle or next for you. Perhaps a honeymoon baby?!

It's perfectly normal to feel the way you do we have all been there. You really want a baby so of course you want it to happen for you sooner rather than later it's normal! Just be positive! You are in the 2ww so it may even be you next week!

Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:45

Yay Peardrop!!! Nice to see you have as much patience as me!! Massive congratulations though hun, you really really deserve it! Am really very pleased for you. Can't wait for Nic and Dulcet to join you soon :) xxx

peardrop2 · 08/09/2012 15:46

Exactly what I think Mclairey it will be Nicola next

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 08/09/2012 15:50

Thanks Maclairey much appreciated! I've been having cramps on and off all day but I'm desperately trying not to panic about that! Last night I had the most vivid dream that I went for my scan and got the all clear. Really weird!

OP posts:
Maclairey · 08/09/2012 15:54

Don't worry about cramping that's perfectly normal. I had loads of cramping (felt like AF cramps) and also stretching pains, it's all normal and everything is gearing up to accommodate your baby! You need to take it easy for a few days, get plenty of rest and start preparing yourself for the bone crushing tiredness and nausea that will appear soon. Oh and the waiting, but you are well practised at that Wink

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 16:05

Many, many congratulations! I am really pleased for you, even with my pathetic jealousy. :-/

I don't think I will be next as I think the injection is still affecting me. Wish I'd come off it sooner.

And I can't actually have a real honeymoon baby as my cycle dates won't allow it. But maybe just before or just after the wedding.

And yes, 2WW is ongoing, so who knows?! :-)

Bloody well done though, best cancel the scan. And post me the rose!

peardrop2 · 08/09/2012 16:33

Thank you Nicola! And I'm not going anywhere until you get your BFP next !! We only DTD 3 times around smiley time this month so I'm pretty sure you're next since you used the smiley sticks this month!

OP posts:
NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 16:43

And we did it twice, consecutively, after smiley, and that's that! So not really very good. Bri let me down on Sunday night and Monday :-(

So Sunday morning is the only chance I have.

Glad yours not going anywhere though!

Wish I wasn't cramping with lower back ache. Gets my bloody hopes up. Arrrggggh!

Right, best get back to housework now.

Oh, and you can have one drink to celebrate, that will be ok!

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 16:44

Next month he will need bloody telling. Though he's a stubborn git, so that probably won't work either!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 08/09/2012 16:59

Wow - huge congratulations pear!!
(I'll admit to joining Nicki on the jealous bit) but very very pleased for u!!! That is definately brilliant news!!

Maybe we might be on a BFP roll, fx!!! Xxxx

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 17:28

I feel really pre-AFy today. Not good at all :-(

Thundercatsarego · 08/09/2012 17:50

Congratulations pear!! Absolutely fantastic news. I can't imagine what that must be like seeing a positive result! Brilliant news x

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 08/09/2012 17:58

NickiNockiNoodle · 08/09/2012 18:19
