Choosing the sex - does anyone know of a way which seems to work?

We are very lucky to have two gorgeous little boys, and would like to try for another baby later this year. Although another boy would be great, we would love a daughter, and I wondered if anyone knew of any particular ways to increase our chances of a girl - those Chinese charts don't seem to work in my experience. (I know that we are very lucky to have had a baby at all looking at some of these other threads, and at the end of the day would be grateful for another child of either sex.)
I have already posted on the pregnancy link and had some useful responses. Thanks for any advice.

Hey Karma,

Hope you are well. I've 3 boys and pg again and am hoping this one isn't a girl. I always wanted a girl but now I've got boys don't think I'd know what to do with a pink one!
Had a friend with two boys who really wanted a girl she bathed in orange juice - apparently (??) girl sperm perfer an acid environment, had herself and partner stop taking caffeine and ate acid rich food. She also slept with a pink ribbon under her pillow. Not very scientific but it worked!
Hope things go as you would like. Stay healthy.

We got the girl we wanted! If you CAT me your address I'll send it to you.

Thanks boneym. I think a friend of mine has that book but I'll let you know if not. Glad it worked for you.
Thanks cattyb. Hope it's a good pregnancy, and that you get your ds!

I read somewhere that girl sperm lives longer but boy sperm swims faster

so....if you want a boy, have lots of sex when ovulating
if you want a girl, have sex just b4 ovulating and then abstain

I did this and did get daughter 2nd time round BUT prob just one of those things

In taking charge of your fertility it says if you want a boy have sex on the peak day only as the male sperm swim faster so if the egg is already there they will get there the quickest - would need to know previous cycles to see how long you have ewcf. And if you want a girl then 2 days b4 peak day as the female sperm live longer.

is it right to choose the sex of your baby?

NotADragonOfSoup · 07/08/2007 16:31

Have unprotected sex only on days with an S in them and when the moon is 1/4 full. This will guarantee a girl around 49% of the time.

With the girls we were actively trying - sex twice a day for 2 weeks! Hey presto, girls.

Expecting a DS in November and we had sex ONCE in 6 weeks!
