Well we've been trying for 3 years. Got pregnant 18 months ago but miscarried at 8 weeks. And been trying since then too. Been referred to Fertility Clinic, I had a lap and dye, husband had several tests. Couldn't find anything wrong, so next step clomid.

Couldn't start clomid last month as my husband was away for most of it with work. Was gutted. But we did have sex ONCE.

And today I've got 2 lines. Just in shock. I know this is only the start, but I never thought I'd ever see those 2 lines again. And I think of all those months where we were pounding away for days on end.

Sorry, have now read the rest of the thread. I hope it turns out well for you. A negative test doesn't necessarily mean it's curtains, of course. Odd though that you had a couple of positives first.

You poor thing, how crap to have your joy dashed and then a delay to getting going again when you have time to Sad

Maybe you could dtd in Aug anyway without the Clomid, just in case? Obviously not if that's against medical advice, but it may be less hormonally disruptive than a Clomid shot would be.

Totally second chocolate, wine, rest, crap movies and doing very little for a couple of days if at all possible. This may not be physically like a later miscarriage but the lost hope and disappointment is just as real Sad

Thanks Bird, your posts in particular have really helped. I feel very selfish going on about this when I know most of us on here have had difficult experiences. Your advice has been lovely. What is your situation if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, you're right, we can always try in August of course. When I had my first mc (at 8 weeks) we were told categorically to get trying straight away. So I am wondering why I can't take the clomid,... But hey ho.

Really really gutted for you Lou. The waiting is hard enough as it is, but you sound like you've really been through the mill. Don't lose hope, no matter how awful you feel.x
