Article sounds suspisciously like 'ballcocks' to me (I've got one of each btw)

Interesting theory gingernut - but I am not very girly at all and have a daughter (plus a son)who is so girly it is untrue! She's only 3.9 but will only leave the house if dripping with jewelry and hair slides, flirts outrageously with her Tots tennis instructor, and cavorts around the living room doing 'ballet' for hours per day. How the hell did that happen! [bemused emoticon]

Ermh, My family might be the exception that confirms the rule: My mother is not exactly a girly woman (very analytic and far too practical as to imagine her wearing pink). My father is no macho (he tends to call himself an "intelectual" mainly because he's hopeless at any task that may require some physical skill -mind you, he can't even change a switch box!). And, they have three daughters. My mother lost 2 babies during pregnancy, they both were girls. There is the joke in the family saying that if they had decided to try for a boy we would have been 14 sisters!

This was a different study gingernut, I think- the woman whose theory this is has released lots of separate sets of data (and I use the term loosely) to the press. Actually, I was being polite before, but now handlemecarefully has said it I will agree with her on the bollocks front.

I have always felt that women who were girly women seemed to be more likely to have DD's. This kind of backs that up in a way.

I must be v girly then 'cos I have four DDs Grin
