Aiming for August 2012 BFP!!

Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

peacock bad luck. Somehow our dh's have more objective judgement when it comes to lines / ridges on tests.

Am so embarrassed my dd (18 months) was asked what she wanted to drink - meaning do you want milk or water. She said wine . Must rethink drinking habits.

I cracked too :-(

Tested completely pointlessly - why why why!??! BFN of course given that I'm only on CD26 of a (usually) 31 days cycle so only around 5 or 6 dpo.

In my defence - I have felt really awful today so convinced myself it was worth a go. I've been nauseous and exhausted. Feel asleep on the sofa for 2 hours which is unheard of. But I guess I can just put this down to having a cold, usual PMT symptoms, having a long commute, working full-time in a stressful job and a having a very boisterous 15month old DS.

Determined to step away from the sticks until the end of next week....

TTC 2nd cycle, BFP due 17th August

Have never really watched my cycle - and this would be my 5th DC (1 boy and 3 girls so far). Excitedly if i were to conceive on this cycle - I would be due on my 40th Birthday - not that one of them have ever arrived on their due date!

Looking forward to hopefully seeing some of usual signs I see - and hoping my extreme tiredness is not due to 4 kids at home, but the next bean.

hey weechops you will be on your own on tuesday. AF reared ugly head last night... bummed out especially wasting four prgnancy kits. but looking forward to september thread. good luck everyone.

Had my smiley face on ovulation kit on thurs. We have been DTD every day. Am trying spot symptoms. i feel a bit of a pain in my abdomen, and keep squeezing my boobs to check for tenderness (that was the first sign last time, but MC at 12 weeks). I am going to be like a crazy woman until the day i can take the test. Hopefully a BFP on 18th of August.

Hi ladies, mind if I join? This is my first proper cycle TTC #2 as I just finally got my period back 13 months after having DS (we're still breastfeeding).

I have no idea what is going on with my cycle, or if/when I'll ovulate, but we're going for it! I've been using OPKs but always get a maddening faint line any time I test - maybe it's true that breastfeeding hormones affect them, maybe I haven't ovulated, or maybe it's because they're the cheapies off Amazon!

It's now CD14. Assuming a 28-day cycle, I would be due to test on 20th August. We will be away on holiday though, and since I don't really know what's going on with my cycle I will try not to test until we're back on the 25th if AF hasn't shown by then.

In any case, good luck ladies!

Hi perpetual my dd is 18 months. I stopped bf at 13 months and only got my period back 6 weeks later. It could take a while to get your cycle back to normal after bf.

Aw mama that's rotten. I'm not holding out much hope for this month if i'm honest. So I'll probably be seeing you in september.

Thanks WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid. I know it might still take a while, but am relieved at least to have had AF now as before that I was obsessed with wondering whether I would catch the first egg!

PerpetualProvocateur - most women get a faint line on the OV sticks as the LH hormone is always present in our bodies. It is when the lines are as dark as each other that you are OVing. HTH.

I'm using the CBFM and got another peak today so will be DTD tonight. Currently on CD15.

Well dh thinks I am pregnant. Felt shattered today and needed a sleep - so he thinks that means I am pregnant. I am only 3 days post ov so if I am tired it is not because of pregnancy.

Whenshewasbad - the monitor is preset to give you a peak after your first peak to cover the 2 fertile days of the month. Like I said on August thread I think that's wrong that's it's preprogrammed to do that because what about if you gear up to OV but don't actually release an egg?

I think I am a bit poorly. Feels like pregnancy symptoms. Feel sick, have heartburn (I never have heartburn), beyond shattered and nipples are tingly. Had to clear up cat poo from my lawn, I think next doors cat thinks it is his litter tray , it made me gag and i very nearly hurled. I am lying on the sofa repeating the mantra only 3 dpo, you are just a bit sick, only 3 dpo

Earliest symptoms ever, but definitely symptoms! Could you have OV'd early?

I might have ov this weekend so will probably test in 2w time if AF doesn't appear in my wtf cycle.

Thanks for all the fx. I pee on opks nic so pretty sure I have not oved early. I am pretty sure I will be feeling better tomorrow. This 2ww is going to drag if this is the way my mind is working already.

It's no help if DH is going to spend the 2ww saying he thinks you are pregnant either whenshewas! Let's hope he is right.

Think af is on the way :( getting the usual cramps just before she shows up. But I've been proactive and have ordered the clearblue ov kit off amazon with 20 sticks :) ive never used opk before so I'm quite excited. A new toy ha!

DP has caught this morning taking photo's of my boobs with my mobile phone. He was understandibly a bit ,but then i explained that i wasn't sending someone rude pics i was just trying to have a look back in a few days to see if my nipples were darker. He just shrugged and went off shaking his head. Poor guy, if this is what I'm like TTC, i will probably be an utter fruit loop when pg and hormonal.
