Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

OP posts:
KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 10:13

whenshewas That's why we DTD from the earliest possible date until day the day AF makes it impossible.

I am CD12 today and since I've only had a couple OPK's in well over the years I've been POAS, I don't leave my baby in the hands of some random chemically advanced stick to decide on :)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 11:03

I moved away from the dtd eod because it didn't work for us last time, dh really felt the pressure of constant shagging it stressed us both out and we didn't get pregnant for sex months. The month we did was the one where we said sod it lets have a month off.

This time round we have gone for a more relaxed dtd 2 to 3 times a month, have been trying for 3 cycles and got pregnant on 2 of them but they were both chem preg.

I firmly believe constant shagging is not the way for us (especially with a toddler around). Just pissed off my body's timing is out this month, if we oved on cd13 that would be beyond ususual for me.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 11:07

They say up two to three times a week. Could you manage that?

Shame yeh, it was stressful for us in June but there were other stresses there as well. It is very much each to their own.

Do you get positive OPKs? I think that's a big factor for us - don't bother relying on those things for my baby because they don't work for me.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 11:08

Two to three times a MONTH? Wow you guys!!

I need more than that Grin

Regardless on DTD Gin

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 11:09

{gin] is a helpful aid too

Sheep2345 · 31/07/2012 12:03

Good Luck for tomorrow lime keep us updated Grin
Fx for the first BFP of August xx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 12:19

I know 2-3 times a month Blush. I used to be a 2-3 times a week kind of girl. Hate to admit it but even before dd was born it had dropped to once a week.

Don't know why we are so rubbish, we have been together for 13 years and both have v stressful jobs.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 12:21

Don't they say the longer you've been together, the more "best friends" you become and the less...deedage you have?

Hard to have a baby but good sign for the overall relationship?

We've only been married 9 months now so we have a LOT of years to go before we stop DTD often Grin

resipsa · 31/07/2012 12:32

whenshe think we're long lost twins. Been with DH 15 years by Sept, married 12, have DD who is 18 months (great age!). In the early days, we were at it all the time then time marched on and before TTC he was lucky to get it 3 times a month. Now I ask for 3 times a week, he's not happy to oblige unless he "wants" it too. Grrr.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 12:58

Ah I need to get my head around - I've not been in a relationship for as long as you lot so I have absolutely no experience there.

And obviously, no amount of reading will ever replace pure experience in that...

threeleftfeet · 31/07/2012 13:08

Um, I think I might have a faint line!

(So easy to be definite about faint lines when it's someone else isn't it?!)

But before you all get excited, it's so faint though I really might be imagining it! Although I keep looking at it and it's still there. But it's so faint you can really hardly see it. I wonder if I can see where the line is meant to be, rather than the line itself IYSWIM. I've not done a lot of stick studying (DS was a very definite line! No ambiguity there)

If you look really closely at a stick, can you see a faint mark where the line should be?

Will try again tomorrow morning.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 13:17

resipsa thanks for making me feel normal again. I think the poor bloke knows I don't want to have sex with him because I passionately want him, I am Just after his sperm.
All that said he is a good shag and we always have fun in bed. It is a bit like going to the gym, you really can't be arsed going but once you get there you enjoy it.

aufanie that's really exciting. How long did you wait to let it develop. I find when you first look it looks bfn but after 3 minutes you can see it more clearly.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 13:20

I posted something about faint lines

Google "evaporation line" and see if its the same.

Not saying its not positive but if its very faint or ghost like or a shadow then wait a couple daays and test again

just to get hcg increase

threeleftfeet · 31/07/2012 13:22

I saw it at about 2 or 3 minutes i think. I was just standing there looking at it thinking - well that's a definite negative - so silly to get my hopes up (I was on the phone actually! It rang just as I started looking at it!).

But then I thought "hold on a minute, what's that ..." and ended the call!

That was about 15 minutes ago. It's too late to get a reliable result now, isn't it?
I keep looking at it!

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 13:26

Actually if it was initially a positive, it should stay for up to 48 hours

A test that is negative and turnaround positive after 10 mins is an error

a line is clear without any squinting o staring or holding up to the light. It also has a very definite colour

threeleftfeet · 31/07/2012 13:27

Could it be an evaporation line? I suppose it could well be.
Silly me getting my hopes up!

Will test again another time and see what happens.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 13:27

Likewise if the line was there but disappeared, wait a few days and test again

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 13:38

Try again tomorrow. See if it gets any stronger.

Dexidoo · 31/07/2012 13:41

Congratulations to the newly BFP'd. Good luck for your retest aufaniae.

I am in limbo land. AF is due in 3 days, BFN 2 days ago and low tummy aches for about 3 days. This morning I have had discharge very lightly stained brown. I usually come on quickly & heavy so this is odd.

Trying not to get my hopes up but I did have spotting the week prior to BFP last time. But I'm now 10-12dpo so this seems very late for possible implantation.

There is no point to my post as all I can do is wait for either AF to arrive or for Saturday to retest in the hope there could be HCG in my system by then. Grrrr

Moog72 · 31/07/2012 13:44

Hi ladies,

Can I join?

I am on cycle 6 TTC nunber 3. Am 39 now though so think it's not going to be easy - too old. BFP due 19th August.

Anyone else in my age range here with similar concerns?

auf - if the line appeared within the timesales I would say you are pg.. test in the monring!

Moog

miarosemum · 31/07/2012 13:45

My one didn't appear immediately, bfn at first then after 2 mins saw a faint line, pink in colour, tried 36 hours later and a stronger line, try first thing auf

jessiethecowgirl · 31/07/2012 13:55

welcome Moog!

Auf test again in the morning with FMU then let us know!!

If I ov'd when I think I did, then I'm 5 dpo. Anyone else in the 2ww wanna share their crazy 'symptom spottings'? I woke up this morning feeling knackered! Even after a solid 8 hours! Hmmm.... :)

p.s I know that symptoms in the 2ww don't exist but its nice to play along isn't it?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 14:52

Hi Moog

I am not the same age as you (33) but I have the same concerns, will this ever happen etc. If you already have two you have a good chance, it might happen straight away or it might take a little while. Best of luck

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 15:03

Ha ha I'm back in the game. Just got a positive opk (internet cheapy) and have ewcm.

resipsa we are so long lost twins. Just got a positive opk which means I should ov tomorrow on cd18. Also dh has been complaining about being tired since Sunday, I have to convince him to shag me though. We last dtd on Sat so a lot of his swimmers will have given up by now.

If he doesn't man up he is going to be on the end of a massive rant.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 15:46

When last did you test whenshewas??

I test once a day - I know it's not enough.

Grrrrr just had the doctors ring about my "higher than average" hba1c saying that they need to "review" my meds. I screamed at them that the fucking REASON I was admitted to hospital was them and their fucking malpractice for 6 weeks ignoring me BEGGING them to do tests and find out what was wrong. Of course my hba1c is "higher than average" you stupid STUPID morons. You nearly killed me!!! I am SO angry - how DARE they even THINK about commenting on my health? They are the REASON there was anything wrong. They could have prevented all the heart ache!!

Anyway, still TTC. Just fucked off with their reaction. Stupid STUPID bitch.
