Faint Line on two tests?

Hello ladies,
Basically I've always been regular with my periods although last month I came on a week early, as that happened I figured I'd be due my next period a few days ago because I'm always 28 days (other then that one time). I have a bit of heartburn and just out of curiosity I bought some very cheap sainsburys own pregnancy tests. I got a very faint plus sign with both and I'm still not sure if its a positive as its not a strong plus.
I've been getting some random cramping in my uterus but it comes and goes with hot flushes, normally I would be getting cramps followed by my period at the same time but nothing.
Am I testing too soon? Am I worrying about nothing, I've yet to tell my partner as I don't want to create a fuss about possibly nothing.
x

I knew it - silly doctors!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Grin xx

Longdistance · 10/07/2012 16:35

Congratulations! I knew it too. I used to test on a cheapy, get a feint line, and then confirm with the Clear Blue. I'm surprised the doc didn't feel your tummy. Mine did to confirm the pg.
The pains did sound like what I've had with both my pg, with the uterus expanding x

motherOfOne27 · 10/07/2012 19:38

cupcake thank you hun :D
And longdistance I get the pains normally in the morning then they ease off but are quite strong, I've been waking up realy early too, guess to use the loo but I'm wide awake which is nice as means I'm not a zombie for work like I normally am lol.
I need to go back to see the nurse this week who will prob do a blood test to confirm my tests we're positive.
:D xx

I thought I'd keep you all up to date...
After my digital test confirmed pregnancy, something was niggling in the back of my mind so I started to search faint test results and why I'd had a negative from my gp.
It didn't look good!
I had a blood test on thursday and today my doctor (a different one this time) rang me and said that I have very low levels of pregnancy hormone so I could have had a missed miscarriage or have an ectopic pregnancy.
I have a scan at 9:10am tomorrow to find out what is going on, but it looks bleak.
I've had a few weepy moments and the shock has been hard to deal with as I really wanted to keep my baby and had just come to terms I was truly pregnant.
I will keep you all posted but I think I know in my heart I've mc
Thank you all for all the support at every step its been very helpful
Good luck with your babies and pregnancies

I'll keep everything crossed for your scan tomorrow and please come back, whatever the scan says, you'll get support by the bucket load.

iloveberries · 14/07/2012 10:36

Me too. Hoping its good news but If not there is lots of support here x

motherOfOne27 · 14/07/2012 11:53

I've just found out some more news..
I went bk to the hospital and at this point they said they wouldnt scan but more blood tests..
:(
My blood was taken and then within an hour my results came bk that they have increased from 110 on Friday to i think she said 169ish today so only a tiny increase but not doubled like it should have.
Im to go back again on Monday morning for another blood test to see if they have increased again.
Mean while if i have a bleed or any shoulder tip pain i need to go to a and e as i may still mc or it could be low because its ectopic :/
Feeling strange, its always something you think wouldn't happen to you but when it does its surreal.
Ill keep you posted on any change but here's hoping my baby is ok and growing in the right place
thank you for you kind messages,
I don't know who id talk to about this if i didn't have this site.

Hoping for good news for you on Monday xx

Babylon1 · 14/07/2012 16:31

Fingers toes and everything staying firmly crossed for you for good news on Monday.

Try and rest up over the weekend and as hard as it may be, try not to dwell too much xx

iloveberries · 14/07/2012 21:11

Hi mother - sorry things aren't going as you want. As you say fingers crossed for everything to be ok on Monday. How far along are you? they can scan with the delightful "dildocam" from 6 weeks.

Since you've mentioned ectopics I just wanted to let you know, as I'm sure you've probably googled by now, that if it is ectopic the sooner they diagnose it, the easier the treatment is. So I would push for an internal scan on Monday.

Hopefully you will see the little blob in the right place though. Thinking of you loads, it's a worrying time xx

Alabama100 · 15/07/2012 12:56

I was told by the doctor that there was no such thing as a false positive (the only exception being hcg levels still being present after a miscarriage, chemical pregnancy or very recent birth and this showing up in a test).

Congratulations you're pregnant!

TodaysAGoodDay · 15/07/2012 13:06

Alabama please read the thread before posting Hmm

Mother I am keeping fingers and toes crossed for you for Monday. HCG levels vary considerably in the first few weeks, you may be perfectly fine.

motherOfOne27 · 15/07/2012 20:51

Thank you for the good luck,
i am going alone to the hospital so i know ill be a nervous reck but i still have a little bit of hope left from other peoples stories online.
iloveberries i think im five weeks or just over but with my hcg levels being so low they said they probably wouldn't find anything yet on a scan.
sneezecake babylon1 todayasgoodaday I've got everything crossed and so far (knocks on wood) no spotting or bleeding
Xxx

todays and op so sorry I didn't read the entire thread before posting. Sorry for any upset caused. I've had a miscarriage myself previously so I understand how upsetting it is. Sorry I have an 8 month old I am constantly running after and just did not read the entire thread as I am usually very rushed for time. Today's thanks for pointing out.

Alabama100 · 15/07/2012 21:46

Just to clarify, I want to add that I've been though a miscarriage myself not suggesting thst's what op is going though at all, just wanted to point out that I was trying to be supportive. mother good luck with the scan hope it all works out for you. I had an early scan at 7weeks and they could not find the heartbeat told me to prepare for th worst....that little gestational sac is now a healthy 8 month old....be strong.

motherOfOne27 · 15/07/2012 22:29

Alabama don't worry hun no upset caused, thank you for sharing you had a mc too, I've been told to prepare for that or for it to be ectopic :(
My mind is boggled by everything I've read online and I just hope that Im just not far gone as I originally thought and that my numbers will increase.
My heart is beating so fast just thinking about tomorrow I'm very scared and wish someone could hold my hand through it
