Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Does 'egg-white' mucus definitely mean that you're ovulating?

Have been ttc since about Jan of this year with no joy. I do get quite a bit of the egg-white stuff around the time I guess I'm ovulating but since we haven't conceived yet I wondered if you get the mucus without the ovulation? I've just been on fertilityfriend.com and it SEEMS to indicate that I would be ovulating but I'm not sure.

Also if I'm not pg this month (due on Sat) when do you think it's appropriate to see our GP? (I'm 35, dh is 37. We've also got dd who's 2)

FWIW, I always go by the old egg white signs.

No harm in seeing the doctor in the next couple of months, but leave it til after Xmas, you probably have enough stress to deal with now (like most families) so leave it til new year and give it your full attention.
