Can a positive test be wrong? If not, then can you help me work out how far along I might be <panic>

Found a pregnancy test in a drawer this morning left over from when I found out I was pregnant with my youngest dc, he is 12 months old. For a laugh I decided to poas.... And nearly had a heart attack when it came up with an immediate strong positive (Superdrug brand still in date)

I've only had one period since having my youngest which was on the 20th April. Nothing before or since. I was breastfeeding but stopped on the 10th June as dc refused to feed anymore.

I've rarely had sex and used a condom when we have. I split with my partner on the 5th may although we've had protected sex a few times since.

Can the test be wrong? If I got pregnant after my last period I would be quite far along wouldn't I, I've got no symptoms and can't believe I could be so pregnant and not know. I had no period in may, could I have still gotten pregnant in this month?

I am very shocked.

I make that about 10 weeks! If I were you I'd try another test and make an appointment with your GP. Good luck Smile

Thank you for replying.

I can't be 10 weeks surely? You'd have thought that I would have had some idea, this is my 4th pregnancy (if I am pregnant) I've been looking at private scans but they are so expensive. I am going to drive myself crazy at this rate.

Tests are pretty accurate especially once you have a BFP suggest you repeat with first wee of the day. Book appointment with GP ASAP you have to take your date as 20 April until a scan proves different. Good luck
