just done a Tesco test. The line was soooo faint I could only see it by holding it at a certain angle and in a certain light. Surely it is negative?

AF due today, had lots of cramps etc as though I am getting it...

cece when I was pg with DS i didnt find out until I was 9wks as pg tests before that showed negative. Each baby is differen and the amount of hormone present can alter a little so showing up earlier.

Agree with the alcohol, had DH's xmas do 1 week before BFP with Becky! (Hideously drunk!)

cece · 20/02/2006 22:33

well I am going to try and wait till the weekend to test again if nothing happens but know I won't wait that long... Stocked up on tampons anyway just in case...

cece · 20/02/2006 22:49

I have just got it back out of the bin and the line looks a bit sdarker now so it must be bfn as it must be an evaportion line (whatever that is)

hi i had this in 3 of my pregnancys. i was about 3 nearly 4 weeks pg each time. a doctor told me a positive is a positive no matter how faint it is. he said if i didn't believe him then do another test-i did-it was positive.

lilianna · 20/02/2006 23:50

the line is meant to get darker after a while. can i suggest that if your period is due within the next 4 days or now that you buy a first response pg test it says can be done 4 days before your due. i found these test fantastic.
good luck i hope you get the answer you want.

Cadmum · 20/02/2006 23:56

Stocking up on tampons is a sure fire way to get a darker line!

I am currently 37 1/2 weeks following a faint line and boxes of tampons!

expatinscotland · 21/02/2006 00:00

so true, cad. i bought tampons, towels and washed my ratty knickers. just waitin'.

DD2 arrived 8 mos. and 12 days later

cece · 21/02/2006 11:11

I'm shaking - think I am pleased but in shock at the moment...

dh isn't going to be pleased though - he has said he didn't want any more...

feel a bit nervous of his reaction.

Congratulations! I am confident that your announcement will be well received. The idea of a potential baby is not the same as an "I am pregnant!"

Wishing you well!

trace2 · 21/02/2006 11:25

congrats,

cece · 21/02/2006 11:27

well proof indeed that the withdrawal method doesn't work!

compo · 21/02/2006 11:28

Congratulations I had the exact same thing - 2 very faint lines so convinced it was a BFN so went digital and there's no mistaking that "pregnant" window!!

cece · 21/02/2006 11:29

think due date is ds birthday too.

OP posts:
lilianna · 21/02/2006 11:32

congrats. don't worry about dh just remind him it takes 2. Hope everything goes well for you.

cece · 21/02/2006 11:38

I assume you were pregnant - If it says pregnant then you are - are they really accurate - could it be wrong????
