A 1ww thread

Name changed for anonymity, mainly cos I've had so many false alarms in the past.

Today I am CD20, normally cycle length is 26, so a week to go until I test.
I am CONVINCED already that I am pregnant though. I can 'feel' my uterus inside me, I feel slightly sicky when I get hungry, my boobs are slightly bigger and sore...

I am tempted to POAS already, but know it's too early.

Well, AF is due tomorrow, POAS this morning, first thing and it was a BFN. Gutted. Really thought I might be Pregnant but blooming body is obviously tricking me. I have PCOS anyway so rationally I know it will take a while. It was a First response test and I believe they are very accurate, especially this close to when AF is (supposedly) due.? I am at a party this eve and will be ok to have a cheeky glass or 3 of Wine, although I still feel that maybe I shouldn't until AF actually arrives but I am sick of putting my life on hold.

What do you think? I am only worrying because when was pregnant with DD I got loads of false negatives until AF was a week late, but I was using cheapy tests then. Hopefully FRER are more accurate. Any one with more knowledge please can you feedback to me?

Sorry to hear that JayJ I was reading an article on another thread (can't find it now sorry) it was all about when the hormones are released that show on a test and how much it can vary, depending on ovulation and how long things take to move down and get settled (correct terminology or what!) so it might still be too early but then I totally get about not wanting to put your life on hold!

Go out and have a drink or two, at some point u hopefully won't be able to, so enjoy while u can!

Hello all - can I join you please? I have a DD who is 11 months and we are trying again for our second. AF only came back last month so this is my first cycle trying. Before I had my DD my cycle was a bit messed up (due to PCOS) but it averaged about 34 days, I am currently on day 33 and tested this morning with a cheapo kit I bought at our local pharmacy (here in France) and it had a very, very faint line. Nothing at first when I POAS but it came within the 5 mins that the guidance said was the max. time to read it...

What do you all think, is that good news? I told my DH and he told me not to get my hopes up. Then about 10mins later I was getting cramps and honestly thought it was AF. I am now living in fear of going to the loo!

Hi ng1412 I had the same yesterday such a faint line that I nearly missed it and threw it away! All u can do is test again in a day or 2, it's so annoying that preg symptoms are so similar to AF symptoms, I've been having cramps and aching but that's quite unusual pre AF for me. Fingers crossed it's good news

Well I think a week is optimistic.... Will last as long as I can! To be honest I now feel more like it's PMT. boooooooooo! Went to a party this afternoon & had a few glasses of fizz after last nights BFN. Was fun & a good distraction! In laws over tom then work so might last....... Might!

Hello all!!! Just an update, AF was due Sat, POAS and got BFN. Felt AF's arrival was imminent BUT have been suffering with really sore boobs, exhaustion and heartburn. Thinking of POAS again tomorrow with a First Response. I used CBDigital Sat but have heard they dont have a great reliability? I never ever get sore boobs but suffered really badly with them when preggo with DS. Suppose there's always hope?

So who have we got on here with BFPs now? livismum and who else? So so happy for you ladies xxx

Ive heard they detect high levels of HCG so testing earlier rather than later could be a false negative. keep us updated, lots of luck for tomorrow hope u get your BFP :).

My AF should be arriving today. ive had mild cramps this afternoon + watery discharge, so i'm thinking the witch is on her broom! its not over yet though :)

I had a blood test on the 20th, because my dr wont give me anything too regulate my periods, until hes nos im defiantly not already pregnant!

I ovulate around CD10 so would have been around 11dpo, i hope this wasnt to warly too detect if i was, should have results by tomorrow or wed. if negative + AF still hasn't arrived i will test then.

i had MC in january, so that could just be the reason for my cycles being out of wack through feb, march! im getting little AF'y signs, + no bleeding yet!
im not getting my hopes up, but with my Son i had These cramps and a BFP same day;).

yeah keep me posted...hope its a BFP for you!!! The more I think about it the more I realise I just dont feel right. I'm completely exhausted!! Exactly how I felt with with DS. And my boobs are agony!!! Surely this must mean BFP is iminent!!! My cycles have been all over the place so hard to even guess when AF is due or when to test... I am on CD 30 now x

Does sound promising, it's a pain when cycles have a mind of their own! I would say buy a few cheapies + try Fmu, see how u go or u will spend a fortune hah! n if u get a faint line etc buy a brand 1 :o

Sh*t after my bfn Friday I did another test today (bad day at work, needed a glass of wine, thought better test first)....Faint positive but def a line?!?! 4 weeks to day since mc! Terrified of it happening again :(

massive Congratulations cake :o awww, i can imagine how u feel. i had a MC in january, and been ttc since with no luck :( but ino when it does happen i will be more scared than exited!!

Pip, add me to the list of BFPs please! Did another test this morning and it came through straight away. I didn't even have to lean out of the window to see it in the daylight .

BTW I used a CB non digital one, far better than the crappy cheapo ones I had been using. I would get one of them and test in a few days if I were you.
