Questions questions - implantation and symptoms, and short luteal phases

Riveting stuff, eh? A while ago someone on here suggested that you wouldn't get pg symptoms until after implantation, as your body doesn't know you're pg until then. Does anyone know if that's the case? Would save me a lot of symptom spotting time if so.

Secondly, does anyone know about short luteal phases and if there's a higher risk of implantation failing? I have a 28 day cycle, ovulate day 18. So that means if I have a fertilised egg it would be implanting about day 24, a week later, right? But then AF due day 28. So only 4 days for it to stick in there. Is that too short? Or does it not matter?

Thanks.

10 days for luteal phase is ok. Anything shorter is a problem. You can try vit B6 if you are worried, but be careful about the dose.

Just wait until you period is due, then POAS. You can't really tell until then. Sorry!

Thanks. We've been TTCing for seven months now, mc before that, TTCing for four months before that. So it's not impatience so much as wondering whether on the cycle dates alone I should go to the GP.

I'm 35 now, so could do, but after the NHS overload that was the mc I really feel like I can't face it yet. Just don't know if I'm being daft putting it off. If 10 days is OK for a luteal phase then we'll stick at it a few more months and then I'll go, I think. Cheers.

That's reassuring, thank you. I've been pg twice, have one DD, so for all I know my cycle's always been like this.
