Been ttc for 2+ years after a ectopic pregnancy, finally got an appointment for saturday with the gyne/fertility clinic and don't know what to expect. I'm 39 have one DD9 with exp and trying for no.2 with DH, my ovulation bloods came back ok, his sperm count came back with morphology issues, something that absolutely devastated him at the time.

hi

sorry that you have been having trouble TTCSad and for your EP too.

TBH when i had my first fertility cons appt not much happened. i was asked a barrage of questions about my fertility history, family history etc and had bloods taken and then the cons. jumped straight into IUI/IVF talk and cost etc as i also have 1 DD. a good thing to remember is that all the IUI/IVF talk they are touting for business- especially as you have 1DD and depending on your PCT you may not be eligible for funding. try not to let all the assisted conception talk frighten or upset you as it is routine. i asked a similar question when i was due my appt and i was shocked when IVF was offered almost straight away as noone had told me...

Thanks for the reply NoMoreMarbles, they phoned me up today at home to say they had some appointments on Sat if I wanted one, was expecting to wait a lot longer (has only been a few months since the tests at the GPs). I'll go in there now armed with a little of what to expect, Thanks.
