Been ttc for two months now.

AF was due on Monday tested on the Saturday and Monday- both negative. Five days on still no AF :(

What is going on, just feels like my body is playing tricks on me.

Cd 37 now, still no af!

Not sure if this is good news or just prolonged agony!

No af for me either. Slight spotting but nothing much. Think I'll test again fri if nothing happens

ellesabe · 08/02/2012 22:43

I'm cd36 and no af. I keep getting bfns but noticed the other day that the tests I was using expired in Sept 2011! I did an in-date one this morning but it was inconclusive...I thought I could see a faint line but dh could see nothing. Will try again tomorrow. I had no idea that tests could expire!!

MrsDistinctlyMintyMonetarism · 09/02/2012 08:28

I'm still waiting for AF. My last period started on Dec 21st but have done 3 tests with BFN.

I feel like I'm going slightly insane Confused

Zwitterion · 09/02/2012 08:48

In both pregnancies I didn't get a positive result until a week after AF due. So it can go both ways! I think I just take a while to implant and get going on things.

Good luck!

tryingnot2beanxiousbear · 09/02/2012 10:46

I am now CD36 and still BFN after 4 tests.... think I am going to assume I'm not pg for now and give up on testing as it's too discouraging!!!

Does anyone have any tips on what on earth you can do with yourself when you are TTC and trying not to think about it?? ;)

shakemyhead · 10/02/2012 08:39

CD 37 and still -ve. The spotting was gone by yesterday am. Nothing much really.

Going away for the night should take our mind off it

Sticklebricksuk · 10/02/2012 10:37

Can I join in too please?! Now 2 days past AF due date and not a single sign. 2 test (tues and thurs) both BFN. This is agonising! I keep feeling a bit nauseous but I think it could be totally in my head iykwim?! I had horrendous cramping Sunday to Tuesday and just assumed it was AF and I was out of the game, but still nothing. Any ideas?! Going to test again Sunday if no AF. This TTC malarkey is not the fun they tell you it is!!

shakemyhead · 11/02/2012 15:51

Came on af at lunch time. Roll on next month

Limejelly · 11/02/2012 15:54

Good luck for next month shake!

I'm still waiting, cd40 now! I'm going away for the weekend, so will test on Tuesday if still nothing.

Have a great weekend. And good luck. 40 is sounding promising to me. We have just got back from the dales and it was sooo icy.

tryingnot2beanxiousbear · 13/02/2012 11:39

AF came to town over the weekend (quite enjoy saying that - has anyone else seen that episode of SATC??) - quite a relief in a way as I was worried that coming off the pill might mean nothing at all happens for a few months. Will hope for better luck this time.

Sticklebricksuk - totally agree that TTC is not as fun as I thought it was going to be!

Shakemyhead - roll on next month!

Limejelly - good luck with your next test!

Sticklebricksuk · 13/02/2012 11:58

Glad to hear that bear if you know what I mean! Never thought I'd be longing for AF but I'm there now. Done 3 tests now all BFN and am stopping it as its getting a) expensive and b) soul destroying. Just want her to come then I can get cracking next cycle now!

tryingnot2beanxiousbear · 14/02/2012 19:29

Sticklebricks - Have you tried the HPT sticks? You can buy them on Ebay, 10 tests for £2, v quick delivery. I invested in some as the supermarket tests are very pricey and they made me feel better about testing every day or two this month.

I was looking forward to AF, and still glad it has arrived after CD 40!, but today have had terrible period pain and felt so sick! (have been on the pill for 8 years due to period pain and heavy periods in my late teens/early 20s) Thank God for hot water bottles and pain killers!!

BFP Shock

Sticklebricksuk · 15/02/2012 11:28

OMG limejelly that's amazing news!!! On what cycle day? I'm currently on day 33 and got a BFN this morning after forcing myself to wait since the weekend. I wonder if that means there's still hope for me?!
Massive congratulations to you x

Limejelly · 15/02/2012 11:31

CD44! So yes there is still hope! I was in total shock this morning, but now feeling happy and excited!

I really just can't believe it Smile

Sticklebricksuk · 15/02/2012 12:26

Are you Ttc your first limejelly? I am and I've never been so aware of my body! I've had a perfect 26 day cycle since coming off the pill so this is 7 days late for me and it's agonising! I've pretty much convinced myself I'm not pg and am now just worrying theres something wrong Sad but you made my tummy do a little flutter of hope Smile I guess it's not over til it's over eh?!

PopcornMouse · 15/02/2012 12:37

Congratulations Lime!! :)

sedgieloo · 15/02/2012 12:43

congratulations limejelly, I was just coming on to post to say I had a late positive test with my dd a faint line at 5 wks preg it sent me around the bend at the time wondering why nothing was happening...only to see you have had the best of news. Well done!!!

Interestingly to anyone else in the situation, I've since read it is the absence of the HCG hormone that causes you to have your period (shed womb lining) so unless cycles are irregular and O days in question it is the biggest of clues. Having read TCOYF also...If you are temping, consecutive temps above coverline more than 16 days is pretty much a bfp too.

shakemyhead · 15/02/2012 15:07

Congratulations lime jelly. Wow cd 44

Limejelly · 15/02/2012 15:16

Yes first baby Smile

Last time I tested was about cd34 so most likely would have been testing positively for a while now.

Thank you for hanging in there with me the last few weeks and good luck for getting all your BFPs

Lime xx

Congratulations Lime Worth the wait!

Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months. Wine

TheresAHuppoInMyHouse · 15/02/2012 17:46

Congrats Lime! this has given me hope as AF was due for me 5 days ago, and I got a BFN yesterday. Very confusing and depressing as my cycle is normally regular to the very day! I had persuaded myself just to wait for the cycle to begin again. It's quite nice to have a bit more hope. Thank you :)
