Is it normal to see a "ghost" of a line on pregnancy tests?

I'm on CD26, too impatient to wait until AF is due to wait to test, tested today and yesterday using Internet cheapies and each time I'm seeing a very very faint line, almost ghost like where the positive line should be... Is there always a very faint line regardless of whether you are or not pregnant?

A line is a line as they say. Although I did have a very, very faint line which disappeared after an hour when I tested early with a first response. Two days later I got my period. Is your line still there?

If line has colour then it's real, if transparent and colourless then it's an evaporation line.

Thank you ladies, the line is a very pale mauve and it is still there....but it is so pale I'm not convinced! Silly me for not waiting a few more days to test!!! Wish I wadn't obsessed with POAS!!!! Blush

You will always see 'something' where the positive line is as there is an indent. Trust me, I have driven myself bonkers taking tests apart, holding them up to the light etc.

The rule is if there is actual colour that develops within the time frame its a positive (don;t go fishing them out of the bin the next day)

Good luck!
