Hello all, After a year and a half of tests, I have finally been prescribed Clomid 100g daily over day 2-6. (I haven't been ovulating) This is my first month of taking and am being monitored by the hospital by regular vaginal scans. I now have 2 13mm follicles with eggs! on day 11. I have to have another scan on day 15 to see if I need a hcg injection. Has anyone succeeded on clomid? Or are going through similar to me? Would love to hear from you.

Hi don't give up hope ladies,
i took clomid 50mg for several cycles- was naughty and didn't do them in succession though as was meant yo,
then went on to 100mg clomid for several more.
on my last go (i decided i would only try one more round of clomid as it was playing havoc with my mind and my cycles) i fell pg, dd 4yrs old is asleep upstairs right now.
Unfortunately her 2 yr old sister refuses to go to bed- another clomid baby- we conceived first time with dd2
I'm currently having an early miscarriage after taking clomid as trying to conceive a third baby.
best of luck to all of you.
x

Hi all
Not sure if this thread is still active but I have just turned 40 and ttc my first. Had hospital appointment today and was given 50mg clomid to try for 5 months. Was planning on starting it straight away as was on cycle day 2 but could not get scan appointment so got to wait a month before I can start. Just hope they can fit me in next month as don't want to wait another month. If this does not work then the next step will be IVF, doctor said it might not work due to adhesion from endometriosis. Did any of you suffer side effects from the clomid? Good luck to you all :)

Hi all

I'm on my first cycle of 50mg clomid and have been given 3 months worth. I'm not being monitored though other than a blood test on day 20. Are you all with the NHS? My last scan showed follicles and one that looked big which sounded promising but my blood test that month showed I didn't ovulate. I didn't see the progestrone level but DH said he could see it was a single figure.
If my bloods show that I haven't ovulated this cycle I have to up my dose to 100mg and then have another blood test
And the next step for us afterwards is IVF apparently which I have to say scares the hell out of me.

I'm 34 and have been TTC for 2 and a half years for 1st baby

re side effects, nothing too bad although I feel a bit low and haven't got my proper appetite. My memory is shot too!

fingers crossed (but not legs)

Hi

Yes I am with the NHS but because of my age if I have to have IVF then I will have to pay. Before I was given clomid I had a blood test, which showed my FSH at 11.5 and I only have one ovary left. I had an operation recently to remove some adhesion of my remaining ovary and my tubes so I hope that and the clomid will prove positive. Think they are keen to do scan to see if the dose is right, either not producing any or over stimulating the follicles. I am a little scared by the whole thing and worried I am doing the right thing and not left it too late to start a family.

Hi - I am new to this network but its great to hear that I,m not alone! I'm on round 3 of chlomid at 100mg. I am currently being scanned on day 12 each month (as long as that doesn't fall on a weekend!!), however I have been informed by the hospital that they cannot administer the HCG injection due to countrywide shortage - Has anyone else been told this? Getting very frustrated, does anyone know how many months they issue chlomid without investigating further? I am 35 and wanting my first child. Thinking about doing reflexology or acupuncture too as this is meant to help with fertility? Thanks in advance for your help!
