Clear Blue OPK - Once I get the smiley face, how long is my 'window' to get pg?

Im ttc after a mc and I'm keen to get pg as soon as possible. I didnt use OPKs for my last 2 pg's which happened in the first month for pg1 (DS1) and second month for pg2 (ended in mc). As Im now in cycle 3 of ttc again, Ive decided to try OPKs. Anyway, when I get a smiley face, how long should I be having swi for? is it 24-48 hours after the smiley face only. When I wasn't using these, I focused on having swi for 4-5 days around when I expected to ovulate.

Experts on OPKs please help! I preferred my previous approach to ttc, which was just go with a less scientific approach, but I'm impatient this time around so doing it differently...

When you get the smiley face it is pretty much your last chance. That same day is the ideal time to have sex. The next day is also very good. More than that, you have probably missed the window.

This is why it is still important to be having regular sex before you get the smiley face. The Clearblue Fertility Monitor is good for identifying the fertile days before the ovulation surge, but having sex 2-3 times per week will do the trick anyway.

Considering how easily you've been getting pg, I'm not sure I'd bother spending megabucks on OPKs tbh?

Ideally, you need to be having regular sex the few days before a +OPK, as you want the sperm waiting for the egg once its released. The egg is usually released 12-36 hours after a +OPK.

Deck - You're probably right, I think if I hadn't have miscarried recently I'd have a different view on it but its made me impatient and also paranoid that it won't happen again. God knows why, I know I'm being ridiculous as no reason to think that based on concieving twice already!

We had sex at least every other day last month and I didn't concieve so thats fed my paranoia, hence using the sticks.

Anyway, will try regular sex and use the sticks this month and see what happens from there on..
